Yes , the majority of teams in this league are much of a muchness, you could toss a coin as to who will win , they all have well coached championship standard players and managers who know enough to set up their team to at least frustrate the opposition. Two quality players make a lot of difference, imo would have placed us top six.

Exactly what I was banging on about at the time we gave away Scott. Both had time on their contracts, both would have made a significant difference in a very average league. What we have left is a very average Championship side who will finish somewhere in mid table. Should FFP be a concern , then manage that situation as any other business would, legitimately as opposed to fiddling COVID figures, but not by selling everything we have that is worth keeping. No ambition, no guts and no glory , is that what we want from our club? We are certainly use to “ no glory”, as we never win …………all. I will be at WHU on Sunday, but mainly to tick the stadium of my grounds visited list. As to future games I will be more choosy in future, as I can’t take much more of the rubbish I witnessed at QPR , Birmingham and the Millwall game. Nor do I need to hear anymore crap about learning lessons and so on, what this lot earn, you would hope that they know by now what they are doing.

To get anywhere we need to add to the squad in January, two quality new faces ( just about any position) would be great, I don’t think we can afford to let anyone go until the summer, as it is squad depth that is the current key concern.

I did read it, wether you say “key” or “contested”, it is basically the same thing.

It’s an easy claim, I guess over 85% of decisions are obvious (striker shoots , sends ball 20 foot over the stand, decision , goal kick), it’s getting the 15% of contested decisions 100% wrong that is the problem. To solve the problem, however,you need to begin by getting the players to improve their behaviour. If they are going to try and cheat by diving , feigning injury etc then you can’t blame the referee for occasionally getting duped. Do you blame the householder or the burglar for the crime ?

I felt we shaded the first half, but were toothless in the second. Cornick’s appearance imo actually improved us to a point as he at least provided a target for the increasingly aimless long balls ️ played in the second half. As to “looking average” , in all honesty that is what we are at this point, an average Championship side, and if we continue to sell off young talent at every opportunity will remain so. Let’s see what Uncle Steve allows In January.
