  1. And so the next is lined up , term “selling club “ ring a bell (we could sell Bell too)
  2. There are many unknown factors other than remaining length of contract, such as his form, luck with injuries, and the needs of bidding clubs. At his age my bet woke he continues to improve , as Will his value. There is a strong case for keeping AS for this season.
  3. By January, we would have a far better idea than current conjecture can possibly give us. We would have also enjoyed seeing our best players in City shirts, and of course made a serious signal of intent.
  4. More , in my opinion, and we will know if a promotion push is on or just a pipe dream
  5. So you think we are stronger with Cornick up front than with Semenyo? Really ???
  6. Mehmeti, attacking midfield/ winger, Cornick, not from what I saw, best position, journeyman possibly?
  7. Where would be the fun in that, don’t worry off to the pub now
  8. All unrelated and none are forwards, as you know. Apparently we needed the money to stay within FFP, so we could hardly have spent it, as we won’t this time, and next when they flog Conway at the first opportunity.
  9. You mean like selling Semenyo and buying Cornick, , we know how this goes.
  10. To have ambition, to dream, to rise above the mediocre, to support a club who could actually win something. Try it sometime
  11. So Bournemouth and Burnley, to get promoted kept their key talent, rather than sell, despite financial concerns. Would it not be wonderful if Bristol City could for once show the same ambition . And yes, I will continue to bang on
  12. His communication skills were not exactly top of the tree. I now live In Sussex, during SODs reign our youth team played a cup match at Burgess Hill which is just down the road from me. Decided to go to the match with my son, we both sat in the bar, the only two City fans there, when SOD came in, wouldn’t say a word to us, a right miserable SOD
  13. SOD was awful, some of the worst football I’ve ever endured
  14. If you can play right back , you can play left back, so I don’t see this as a problem. We should also be looked at the youngsters as third place cover in emergencies. Agree with the earlier poster, goalkeeper is the only position that concerns me as I don’t see any sort of competition to Max
  15. So we agree, there is a gamble , but one we can afford to take, but this window is not the one to sell. And with Scott we have what looks to be a squad that can challenge at the top of this division. So let’s send a message, and retain Scott, and actually go for it ️️️
  16. Next summer, once he has led us to promotion ?. There are risks with any choice, but I think he will improve with another season, and despite the shorter remaining contract period actually be worth more next year. The gamble isn’t £25M , but the difference between that figure and next year’s value, a gamble worth taking
  17. I imagine his agent said “ hold your horses, son” , it doesn’t mean he wants to leave.
  18. Sure, sell Semenyo, Scott then Conway. Please remind me why I bother buying a ticket ? Try a smile
  19. Or we , by retaining our best players, win promotion and make a profit each year, Negative people have a problem for every solution ?
  20. A highly knowledgeable fan whom we , I think, all appreciate and whose opinion is valued. But your prediction as to the benefits of selling doesn’t to me make any kind of sense from a supporter’s point of view
  21. So , as a fan, there is no benefit to selling Scott unless your Uncle Steve. That neatly sums up what I have been saying.
  22. One thought, if Scott is sold from under Pearson, will Pearson stay ?
  23. Chris Garland was my boyhood hero, a true legend. Rest in Peace
