I found the opposite to be the case. Rangers fans have always been great to me; while I have had strip lights thrown at me through bus windows by the other lot. Had they been allowed off the bus I am sure I would have been killed. Directly after an Old Firm game mind, which Rangers won 5-1. The behaviour of the Rangers fans who came to the friendly match at AG a few years ago was impeccable. Celtic fans have a history of antagonising fans in England by singing provocative songs (Lee Rigby when they visited Sunderland FFS) ; and behaving badly. Shouting abuse at troops who were parading at Arsenal another example.

It would be funny if Italy failed to qualify AGAIN. Italy are a similar power to England in world football, (one of the "big five" in Europe). It grates somewhat that they have won the Euros twice, and have FOUR world cups to our measly one, which was nearly 60 years ago.
