We shouldn't be spending vast amounts in Jan, regardless of who's manager, players are over priced then and there is no value in the market,

No we should have spent the money in the summer although apparently neither NP or the Chuckle Bro’s thought we needed to.

Just watching on Sky. He’s saying that the 4 subs by them made a huge impact - but it’s him that can impact that, surely????

If he has the squad to do it which he doesn’t, we’ve lacked a goal scorer for at least 18 months and did nothing about it. Can only impact games like that if you have the impact players with quality to do it.

We don’t and I do wonder how effective LM maybe when we do, few results and I for one hope he gets a chance.

  3. Really want to like the guy however the lack of passion and straight talking in his interviews is proper annoying.

Has a look of a bloke who has run out of ideas I’m afraid, tough few weeks ahead where we will see what kind of dressing room we really have.

    More upheaval, rebuild then? 🙄

After the last few weeks that seems like the preferred outcome as many of this lot haven’t and aren’t up to it - question remains if the manager is but that will only be clear in about 9months.

  5. The future will see a very different starting 11 after this manager gets a pre season to build his own team and a proper crack at this division.

Writing was on the wall in the transfer window with very little short term business, it has always been about next season, anything else is down to poor management of expectations by the club when LM was appointed - we were never in with a crack at top 6.

Next few months will be impacted by players we are having to rely on having one eye on new contracts.

It’s a write off for me already.

  6. Makes no difference he’s here until next season, guaranteed we’re looking at a shitty few weeks before they all start performing like ‘Messi’ in advance of any end of season clear out ending in us finishing in 12th, in the meantime bloody Preston go up via the Playoffs.

    Tale as old as time..,

He was. He's still a work in progress for me. Along with Mehmeti, he's not at the level needed yet, and needs another season or two to develop.

Reminds me a bit of Bobby Reid when he was at a similar stage, he turned out ok.

  8. Watched the highlights v Swans, I know we were outplayed but somehow had chances to steal a point in that game against a Leeds team playing at another level at the moment.

Been a very tough period but these last few results have been coming and we’re getting stronger.

I wouldn’t want to play us just now COYR

I've never seen so many people moan as I have since manning took charge.  Some of the flack he has took is a joke. New to this standard and club it would always take a bit of time.  We have put good performances in the cup and if we can replicate that in the league we will do well.  Watford away was outstanding and today was also pretty spot on from the small part i watched ( I was working today)

I really think that people are giving him the flack for decisions that are beyond his control (NP sacking).

We are safe this season, so just sit back, shut the fck up and lets see what happens in August.

    EDIT

Oh and if you want to slag me off for daring to see things different, go ahead. I could not give a shit.

If watching City really pisses you off that much, you can always go and watch the sags. You wont be missed.

Agree with what your getting at, think our expectations seemed to get out of control even since NP left and let’s be honest he hadn’t and wasn’t really taking us anywhere.

That team and the one selected mid week had no right to play at that level and get a result, they did due to the way thier set up and coached.

All credit to LM for me, really do think we’re in for an exciting 12-18 months.

A huge sense of disappointment, frustration and anger about the second half performance.

No problem with a half-time sub (assume Cornick a knock), but why the change in shape from the first half where we controlled so much of the 45 mins?

They played through us, around us, behind us.  We had no answer.  CB spacing went to pot as they slid in their forwards.

To end, well done though, three points, winless run over, a big boost after a tough set of fixtures.

    And chilllllllllll. 😉

Game of two halves, first was seemingly just enough better than the first, 3pts boom

The money bet is next season.

There is no chance in hell we are going down this year. But if we continue this trajectory of form, it takes a massive turnaround for us to do anything next year. Make no mistake - we are in trouble for 24/25 as we stand

Also doesn’t make recruitment any easier
