What are your immediate end of season thoughts?
Rob k replied to Jerseybean's topic in Football Chat
LJ still had to constantly sell his best players in his defence and turned a big profit. However we have done this to death so I’m not going back over LJ again. No more free passes next season for Nige from me, he’s sorted out the mess but going in to next season it will more or less be his squad, im really looking forward to seeing how we do and what signings we make, there has to be progress though, im wanting a top 10 finish. -
I think Watford and West Brom will both be better next season and I think the teams coming down will be stronger than the ones going up bar possibly Southampton. As much as it pains me to say, I think Ipswich with the momentum they have will be very comfortable next season and won’t be in a relegation battle, Plymouth will depend on the loans they bring in, but have a manager who I’d have here after NP so whilst i don’t think they will do as well as Ipswich, i have a feeling they may stay up. Obviously just my opinion and i could well be off the mark so we will see, on the other hand, i don’t see the likes of Luton doing as well next season.

He’s not the difference between going up next season or not for me, so I’d take the cash and put it towards the rebuild -
Already looking a tougher championship next season, some big clubs coming up and down
-
Not sure I’ve wanted to beat a non rival football club as much as i want to beat Ipswich and that utter **** next season.

A disappointing end to what has been a frankly underwhelming season.

It was a sloppy goal as we gave away possession so easily in a dangerous position, can’t take anything away from the finish tbf. Agree with you about sucking them off, we gave them the whole of the Atyeo which we have not done for other teams, guard of honour etc, do that after the games finished. -

That’s the point - IMO this season has been a missed opportunity because we have not been in a position to challenge. Next season won’t be as easy as this one. -

Nothing too much to be deflated about today, we more than matched them after the break and gave away 2 sloppy goals. We have played both Burnley and Sheffield Utd in recent weeks and given both a good game. The thing I’m deflated about this season is there was a real opportunity for a team to get promoted and unfortunately we were not able to be in the mix, make no mistake.l, this was as poor a championship as i remember and next seasons already looking far tougher. -
Should have scored that chance to be fair
-
So, at the end of the season, Arsenal finish 2nd and Man United third but they have won a final and in the FA Cup final? Who’s had the better season?
-
Can’t stand them one bit - but fair play to their fans, 5500 to Barnsley on a Tuesday night is impressive
-
Ryan Dilks Is a massive bellend
-
Talking of decisions - on Sat we had a breakaway near the end of the game before we scored, for some reason the ref gave a free kick to Rotherham and i think Weiman got booked, iM still absolutely baffled as to what the free kick was given for? Anyone else know?
-
It’s one of those that unfortunately had to happen to Cornick who fans have not taken too, he couldn’t do that again if he tried another 100 times
-
I wonder how that championship team of the year would get on if they played in the premier league
-
Why have you had to have a dig at the men’s game to make a point?
-
I’d be surprised if we get a loan back option without it costing a significant amount. Can’t see a club with more clout than us agreeing to pay 25+ mil and they don’t get to work with him for a season.

Always found it very odd what happened here with him - he’s clearly a very good player with a good touch and knows where the net is -

I’ve only seen the clip above but I can’t see how that’s a pen - either way it’s the sheer inconsistency with the officials in this division which is the infuriating thing. -

And too weak in the final third -
They have done both since 2011

They have made the fences smaller - the horses therefore go quicker!!

I imagine the majority say their dog is loveable, well behaved and affectionate until they bite someone and get killed for it.

If a horse really didn’t want to jump a fence it wouldn’t, it refuses, as seen yesterday when a jockey went flying over a fence as the horse didn’t fancy it.
