Ffs, what a start to the half

HT. Not sure we would have deserved to go in ahead on the balance of play really. Not awful, but far from good.

Blimey, kept thinking ‘must renew’, followed the link and it took seconds.

Deserved overall against a team in form. Player or two short, but getting there.

Barnsley, Peterborough, Swansea and Cardiff losing. Derby one up, but cannot have everything.

Any sense on how bad the knock on Scott looked! Been one of the few bright spots recently..

Lot of sympathy for Wycombe, but the ‘butterfly’ effect of proving ‘if this happened, this would have resulted’ is pretty hard to prove. Lets take the very last day. My memory was it was a three way shoot out. Derby had to win against Wednesday to stay up and relegate both Wednesday and Wycombe. They did (3 -2?) then finished in the order Derby, Wycombe, Wednesday. However, imagine the scenario in which Derby had already been deducted points. The last day would have felt very different. Derby already down, a Wednesday win and it is them that survive, not Wycombe. The odds on Wycombe on that last day were heavily always to finish third bottom assuming a winner in the other game. I have always felt given an early points deduction for Derby, the balance of probability was that Wednesday, not Wycombe, would have stayed up. edit...went back and checked. Last day was 3:3 and Rotherham were in the mix. Point is still right that a win for Wednesday would have kept them up.

Yep, some player by the name of Nketiah. Think Martin would have put that in...most likely... edit...and why you do not leave games early...

Think it was the next season Arsenal took three replays to get past Liverpool in the Semi Finals. Top managers today would have a fit.

Just feel it is written in the stars to be Ipswich (or Barrow).

It’s bordering on a statistical freak now, but against the bottom six we have 15 points from 5 games. From the top six we have 8 points from 6 games (surprisingly good). From the middle 12 teams we have the grand total of 3 points from 10 matches. 7 defeats and 3 draws. If our form against that middle block was a point a match we would be in the play offs.

I don’t wish that upon their fans, really...but just as a throwaway comment both Barnsley and Peterborough beat Derby. In the event Derby disappeared mid season they would both lose three points.

However much we were second best today, it still comes down to moments. Hard to rationalise our defending for the first goal, or Wells inability to square a ball.

Safe trip home for our fans. Hope Baker is ok. Well beaten today, that is all.

Alongside Birmingham, this is right up there. 4 points in a week v Blackburn, Stoke and this lot not awful, but most likely more than we deserved. Just got to keep nicking points when we can.

Been very open since the changes. They took a chance, we didn’t.

Burnley v Spurs called off late because of heavy snow. Might be our best chance…
