  1. Yeah, I remember and knew some from them long gone days. Blackjack, Jiffy, Angus, Larry the Limp, Paddy Walsh, The Pascoes, John Feeney, Chris Saunders, Heavy Duty, Moussah, and Boner spring to mind. Blackjack and Moussah had brothers who were well-known. Some of those that followed City in those days, were bitter enemies “off the pitch”, who put their differences aside temporarily on match days.
  2. What a Yank . . . er ! Hasn’t got clue about where he is and who he’s watching. To offer him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was overcome by the piss fumes and the smell of Irene.
  3. Mbude's performance against QPR was embarrassingly mbade. So far, he doesn't look worth anywhere near the fee quoted. I believe there are several better players available out there for considerably less money. Something is definitely wrong with our scouting and assessment set-up if Mbude was the best propect identified.
  4. This is S(h)ocking. W(h)oley unacceptable. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some young kids copying this.
  5. Manning's substitutions were certainly sub-standard. I have a sinking feeling that he's plumbing new depths. Man (ning) overboard !!!
  6. Well done ! (Sorry, I couldn't resist the invitation to praise you this way)
  7. Based on yesterday's performance, we would have struggled to beat the pension-aged City legends of 1974 that were on show yesterday.
  8. Can't think of a "plus" from yesterday's slow and bore fest. Same old, same old. As Lois Diony, the French fool-osopher and alleged footballer once said "Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose".
  9. Maybe the penny has dropped for Manning. Bad decision?

Maybe we needed a Sweeper to clean up the mess.

Makes perfect sense. However, based on yesterday's starting XI, don't be surprised to find Medube is the first name on the team sheet . . . and that we're trying to bring back Diony and Bas Savage.
  12. Does bringing Medube in on-loan suggest that our recrutiment policy is based on quality rather than quantity? With regard to the option to buy, based on yesterday's showing it's . . . bye !
  13. Crazy innit? Clearly, that was a fantastic performance against QPR. Dare I say, breathtaking ? We were desperately unlucky to lose. It will be even better when Manning gets even more time with the players on the training pitch. We've never had it so good.
  14. Pleased to see many of the recently-missing fans back in the South Stand, around me yesterday. Full of hope and optimism, cracking jokes and catching up with their City mates. However, towards the end of that abject, inexcusably dire performance, most had deserted the shinking ship early, looking miserable and bad-tempered. It was clear, from what was heard, that they won't be back anytime soon (and who can blame them?). The club doesn't do itself any favours. A golden opportunity to play open, entertaining, attacking football agsainst a struggling, mediocre side, to lure more fans back and generate demand for next season tickets. But hell no ! As usual, all we got, was an absolute pile of shite. Front foot shitball.
  15. More like a combination of Diony and Bas Savage. On that showing, we’ve been well and truly mugged off. What really boils my piss is that, as always, so many of us fell for another of their “we may have unearthed another nugget” PR stunts. So far, it looks like Fools Gold to me.
  16. Can anyone explain that goal celebration?
  17. Great performance all round. Pleased Bell got that goal after his penalty miss against Forest, and his visible upset. What doesn’t kill you, makes you … a goal-scorer.
  18. There you go again. Boasting about your fine dining at the prestigious Miss Millie’s. It’s alright for some.
  19. Two favourites from the 70s "We don't carry razors, we don't carry lead " "I'm a bow-legged chicken, I'm a knock-kneed hen"
  20. Looks like some of the the ingredients for the whopping rip-off £100 meal are "freshly"-grown on site. As the announcer said "Here are the latest spores".
  21. Whatever he says we all know that James' goal celebration was really an impression of Chris Martin running at full pelt. Cornick's performance was an unexpected, but pleasant surprise.
  22. I'm happy we bagged three points following our distracting, but enjoyable cup exploits. Winning is such a tonic. Now, where's me gin?
