Interesting post. Like most of us, we were all on Nigel's bus and disappointed to see him leave in ridiculous circumstances and excuses from the hierarchy. 

Good to hear he 'Rates Liam'...

He will do a Vince Harper....drop down to National League South and an EFL club will soon come in for him imo. I hope so anyway.

I rate him as did Mr Pearson.

I am really surprised about Harry. I have followed him as I report on the 21's as well. In less than a year, his Bristol City dream has collapsed.

Travelled with the 1st team on last year's preseason tour...

Not at Bristol City it would appear...

Let's hope they do a u-turn on this over the summer but can't see it happening.

I believe Leeson and Zac Bell are also at the end of their contract. Both were highly rated but it's looking like they have not made the grade to push on with us. 

Hope they mirror what Vince Harper achieved, he dropped to National League South and then reignited his EFL career.

Whilst I was very impressed with his 27 minutes performance, it's really difficult to judge whether Manning would include him in next season's 1st team squad. 

U21 football is what it is and City and Charlton have both struggled with results this season. Some will say that results don't matter, it is a 'development league'. However, the jump from U21 to Champ is huge as we know. Not everyone is an Alex Scott unfortunately.

The personnel and make up of our u21 squad will look very different next season with a lot of players being released soon and u18 players stepping in. 

It's going to be very interesting to follow the pathway of Murphy and the U18's stepping up. 

I called it a few weeks back that Forest Green may look at some of our u21 released players or even those players staying, who maybe loaned out next season. Ping! - Cotts was at the gate yesterday, so it will be interesting to see if anything happens on that front.

Oh it is an insane total for sure ,3 sides on 90 plus is an exceptionally intense and high standard top 3 race, looked like Southampton could make it 4 and they do merit a fair bit of credit, but lucky or good I suspect the injury record assists them, continuity- consistency, it all very much feeds in.

I'd forgotten about Rolls as Pete mentioned but we had our very worst injury season with him at the helm.

That may be down to the 'head coach' and too much time on the grass. God forbid, don't give the players time off in the international break....:laugh:

Not sure if anyone picked up on it but he mentioned Plymouth and it appeared to be deliberate and then it went very quiet as if his interest in the job was discussed 'off camera' or am I 2nd guessing?

With regards to his dismissal, the comments Nige made clearly indicated that he was a tad frustrated with how it was all dealt with. Stinks really and a bit 2 bit.

I don't think he will speak very highly of the owners when he has the opportunity but with regards to our fanbase, he will be enormously complimentary....

Tricky one for @headhunter to ask more probing questions at a senior reds bash. It did come across a bit like an in-house chat but nethertheless it's worth a listen.

On 19 mins...a budget has not been set? I don't buy that. I appreciate there are a number of permutations but there will be an in-house sum already set but GM is never going to disclose the amount which is the right thing to do.

The pod will be an interesting listen regardless of the NP in or out split during October which was probably polling at 80% in. I expect Nige will paint a picture without actually breaking his NDA...an older head and all that. I thought warnock and pearson were good value on sky last night covering the Leicester game.

You can sense that the style of play is not being well received by the fan base even though we are on this unbeaten run. I guess it's all about next season now. As previously mentioned, it's the same squad (minus Twine) which is why the stats are so similar.

Good analysis. I am interested in this data and fair shout for keeping it rolling but at the end of the day, it's very much the same team apart from Twine, so mid table results are inevitable. 

All this, Manning In, Manning Out = Manning is Staying!

Mark @Curr Avon don't get too happy clappy though. Like Southampton, yesterday is just 1 game. 

I read in another topic that since Liam came in, he's attained 29 points from 24 games, so the squad are performing at mid table levels like we have done all season.

That is where the current squad are. They will win some, lose more and get the odd draw. Simples.
