  1. Does Ian Gay really like Liam too much to criticise him? Forget the season NP took over as he was really dealing with the aftermath at that time. So... Lets look from the start of his 1st full season 21/22, after 17 games, we had 19 points, which came from 5 Wins, 4 Draws, 8 Lost. Move forward, Liam after his 17 games in charge (upto Southampton), attained 23 points, 6 Wins, 5 Draws, 6 Lost. That's just 4 points difference. It's an improvement but not a huge swing is it? The previous manager was being talked about being sacked. Listen TO THIS from 25 mins of the FBC podcast broadcasted on 3rd November 2021. Ian and the entire team are pretty much debating the sacking of NP and Ian questioned the contract given to him. https://www.podbean.com/ea/dir-nuqey-1cfdc1c3 Good listen...
  2. Great to see DG out there. Met him a month or so back to sign the 76 shirt.
  3. I agree. ALAN DICKS STAND would be a fantastic tribute. Do it whilst Alan is still with us.
  4. 18 games, 23 points under Liam. No improvement but thats because we are a mid table side. 1.27PPG

  6. I wouldn't tinker and return to any old badge for our main kits, now or long term. It's great having older replica kits in production but our existing badge is nice and classy (not the eagle). Stick to our existing brand for me.
  7. I've recently posted a topic regarding my love for the 76/77 kit. This heritage edition is good marketing. Love this though... Can't beat a long sleeve... https://www.sloganite.com/products/bristol-city-football-shirt?variant=43382676095154
  8. I didn't see the game but 70% v 30% possession sounds very NP like. We are a mid table outfit. We will win some and lose some, whoever the manager is. Take the points. Fevs - you have never really focused on formations?. Having not watched the game, I can't comment. What was our 1st half possession %age....50 ish?

    Happy now

If any fan wants Liam to fail, that is insane and PLEASE stop supporting the club immediately. We all want any Bristol City manager to be successful. Period. It all comes back to the decision to make the change, nothing more, nothing less.
  10. Will never happen. The other team in Bristol are a total shambles. Don't stress.
  11. We all do it. Including me previously...'Premier League Club' Definition: Formed in February 20, 1992, the English Premier League was created by clubs in the Football League First Division. From 1993 to 2001, the league was called as the FA Carling Premiership. Barclaycard took over in 2001 and since then it is known as the Premier League.
  12. No one can argue that our FA Cup run has produced some very impressive displays. We now need points. That's our bread and butter. The league run since Boxing Day has been very poor, if not relegation form. Fingers crossed...
  13. Apparently, as we did on Friday, they carried out a 2 minute applause in memory and respect to the lads who got murdered in Knowle West but it was mixed with singing 'Goodnight Irene' towards the end of the memory tribute. I hope it was for the right reasons.
  14. Great topic by the way. I will throw something in to keep this going... Question... Will Bristol City get promoted to the Premier League (under Lansdown Family) by 2035? A simple yes or no or an educated percentage guess... I'm going 65% chance...
  15. No Expectations nowadays, mostly down to the recent reset, when the board needed to be a bit more patient and let the previous manager continue building (after tidying up the previous mess...) Hopes = to see our team run out on the 1st day of our premier league debut at Ashton Gate against Arsenal and beat them 1 nil, like we did in 1976 at Highbury. Then become a top flight club for longer than 4 seasons.
  16. I think this is a fantastic initiative but it would be great to bring it to 'real life' with a museum rather than just holding stuff in a digital format. Although, they are not having my merchandise from my recent mancave project
  17. Last 6 form table...

    Tins on RB

  19. Personally, I can't thank the Lansdowns enough for what they have done since they became proud owners of OUR club, but do we need a new owner? Is it the right time to part company? if 1) we can find the right investor? And 2) if Steve can let it go? They always say, 'be careful what you wish for' but as fans, we continue to experience the same, a repeating process that never changes. It's absolutely mental, that it was 1976, the last year that we were promoted to the top flight of English Football. No matter how big your 'city is', there is no given right to reach the promised land and some clubs don't even want to get there (of course, the owners of those clubs would never admit that). Its a bloody expensive investment but at the same time, it's a financially rewarding one. We are currently shopping in Ireland, Scotland, Belgium etc, League 1 and 2 and have a young manager who has experience in academies and Tier 3 football management. 2076?
  20. I heard that. A strong number 9 in the summer..he said it quite a few times
  21. Bang on. I've quoted this previously. It isn't about Nige or Liam loving. It's what the board said when making the change that irritates me claiming that we were top end challengers this season.
  22. Yeh, I got that wrong mate, 1.28PPG apparently, still going in the wrong direction mind, especially after the board quoted 'top end' squad.
  23. Got it wrong again Dad @Numero Uno
