  1. The Club will be refunding season tickets for this year but what about season tickets for next ? This will have a massive impact on clubs revenue. What's more they already have a LOT of money in the bank as we did our renewal process early. The club wont have spent this money but they would never have dreamed of needing to refund it at the time .
  2. Surely this is a matter of principle . Tea lady takes voluntary pay cut who normally earns 10k a year (pro rata) Manager Lee Johnson takes voluntary pay cut earning 60k a year (example) Player takes deferral but no cut who earns 2k a week (£104k a year) Player takes deferral but no cut who earns 20k a week (£1,040,000 a year) Forget unions, pfa stances etc that cant be right, fair or just. Sometimes I hate the world we live in. Disclaimer : City aren't the only club behaving like this
  3. On the official site it said all staff have taken a voluntary pay cut....I assume that means the players as well ? I assumed the players had taken the wage cut above and then also a deferral? No? If the players haven't taken a pay cut but we have asked non playing staff to then that's a disgrace regardless of deferrals etc
  4. The 'grossly overpaid 'was in reference to someone saying the club will need help to get through this too when I said about fans being refunded season ticket money . If the club didn't offer refunds (hypothetically) but continued to pay Kalas 20k a week I think we would all agree that would be outrageous. It's highly unlikely such a scenario would ever occur(the club WILL offer us all refunds and Kalas will likely not be paid his full 20k every week with deferrals etc) but hopefully that helps with the context the original quote was said in
  5. Oh yeah of course. I'm sure the first game back will be a close to full sell out and will be a great occasion. Hopefully in the autumn (although could well be longer ). Its reassuring for many though that a refund of £80-100 will be coming their way . Some will have bought new season tickets already too and the club already has that money which no doubt helps the club (many other clubs hadn't done their renewals )
  6. Obviously we would all much rather have the football to go to but no doubt refunds will help some fans who have been particularly hard hit by the virus struggles. I'm sure City will follow suit when the time is right and offer refunds/a credit for next season - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52356666
  7. Looks like everything is going behind closed doors ..will get refunds for any home games we cant attend?
  8. Love how people bite on a clear wind up ...in essence most fans are jealous wen Holloway has success (as hes a gashead) n revel in it wen he fails (as he's a Gashead). Standard football fan behaviour, I certainly aint gna 'love' the guy but hes done a great job at palace so I say fair play n not much else !
  9. When he left the majority on here wished him good riddance. We never really replaced him
  10. Lita defnitly has done the most successfully. As for Matt Hill, i have nothing against him but it wasnt as though he HAD to leave. Left a short way into the Tinnion reign, dnt blame him for leaving for he still coulda stayed
  11. cant really say i agree that the ref was on our side, however he certainly wasnt on Stokes side either, thought Riley got majority of decisions right but just handled game badly booking Mcindoe and Fuller unnecersarily. As for boothenendboy, i presume your a stoke fan, if so good luck for the rest of the season, lets hope u get more points than derby next year
  12. This isnt the reason we arnt going up automatically, people get way too carried awya on this forum with small details like " a free kick here or a free kick there" but its 46 game season
  13. Not being funny but its more the gulf between the Championship and the Premiership rather than Championship newcomers from below and Championship newcomers from above. Charlton been an established premiership team for past 5 years, theyre bound to have more money, better infrastructure etc
