Yes and yes.
As a coach I was invited to observe at St George’s.
As I said just a standard coach in my opinion. Loads just like him at all levels. Nothing special but good luck to him.
We’ve been missing a trick then. We should be getting you on the coaching staff as your a qualified coach and knows everything an excellent coach should be.
Anyone got Nige’s number? Up the league we go we are now saved

Exactly.
KD seems a nice enough chap but thank god he is no longer here. Nothing against him but just another run of the mill qualified coach.
Have you watched him coach then? Are you a qualified coach yourself?

I wouldn’t say I’m in the thinking that we should be questioning NP’s position and get peoples likeness of his honesty but what I’m not so keen on is the distance it seems to suggest there is between him and the players. You don’t get the impression with him that him and the players are in this together. He talks as if he’s viewing the whole thing as an outsider looking in.
Obviously we don’t see what goes on within the training ground or changing room during matches but you just don’t get the impression that everyone is pulling in the right direction.
Some people’s argument that he’s got a crap squad to work with I don’t totally buy. We do have quite a few good players at this club who should be doing a lot better
Palmer, Wells, Kalas, Dasilva, O’Dowda, Wiemann, Atkinson, James, Massengo are all very good players who aren’t all playing to they’re potential and it’s the manager’s job to get them there and keep them there. Not forgetting the promising home grown players too.
So for me NP has to take some responsibility for our struggles over the last year. It’s not just that we have crap players. We don’t.

There is just going to be a lot more fear around not getting covid over Xmas. Pressure from other family members maybe not interested in the football not wanting there planned Christmases ruined by having to isolate.
If it wasn’t for those kinds of things you’d see a lot more people just go and not care about the risks so much

Is it possible current covid chaos could impact our January spending? Maybe clubs will hang on till the end of January to make any financial outlays

How much was Ray Attevald when we signed him. Was he £1m?

Although we’d all love to think otherwise Bristol and the surrounding area doesn’t have the football passion that the north west, north east and parts of London has.
If we got to the prem we’d likely struggle like most Midlands and east Anglian teams do and just yo-yo at best.
Saying that we could always get lucky and be more like a Leicester.
Not that we are remotely looking like getting promoted any time soon.
For City to be able to have a better chance of ever surviving in the prem we’d need to be getting 40k+ crowds. I maybe in the minority but if Ashton Vale had gone ahead we would be in a better position to be able to expand to meet such capacities. Going to struggle to be able to do that at AG

The offside rule was brought in to stop goal hanging. How can being offside by a billimeter be goal hanging. Both players feet were on the bloody line of the penalty area.
VAR just ruins the game. Give me mistakes by refs and linesmen any day
Everton my second team in case anyone was wondering about why I’m so pissed about this

I used to get Shoot every week. Regarding the kit I believe that we had white shorts and red socks that season, the black was part of our second strip of white shirts and black shorts, not sure why we ended up with that combination against Man City?
You’ve obviously never had to struggle with getting grass and mud stains out of your whites!

The offer last week was pretty good - full kids kit with personalisation for £50. They also did 20% off after the Barnsley game. Appears this offer is the worst of the lot!
Screw the kids, what about me?????

Bit disappointed by the clubs Black Friday offerings. Basically have to buy more than a club shirt to get any kind of discount and even then 15% don’t equate to a lot.
Couldn’t they have put a discount on individual items?

Very big and hard of you
I’m just giving my opinion which being an open forum I think I’m allowed to do. I’ll keep giving my opinion as well.
I’m not faulting the effort or criticising management or individual players. It was a great result. I’m just saying the game was poor.
So deal with it

A lot of championship games are like that. Difference tonight was we were not bullied
Can’t fault the effort and I know we have a lot of young inexperienced players out there. It was just a very poor game from both sides really

Great 3 points but that match was awful. On another day we would have lost that easily. They should have had a pen and Scott should probably have been sent off.
Just hope getting the win just helps to boost the confidence and get us playing some better stuff and that was dire to watch I’m afraid

Maybe they should go back to David Moyes

The key is consistency. Totally lost count of the number of similar posts to this I’ve seen after a relatively positive performance but for the next game or 2 or 3 or 4 to be awful again. The big trick is being able to perform week after week after week. It’s what really separates champ teams from the run of the mill prem teams

Problem is you then leave Chris Sutton free. It’s the devils choice really
And don’t forget Mike Newell
(You don’t get any premier league players called Mike anymore)

I read that article I don’t get the feeling of wanting the Lansdown’s to sell up. So many of the clubs mentioned with foreign owners who have come in with supposed unlimited wealth and delivered nothing but massive debt on the clubs.
SL has made some bad appointments and we are crying out for a director of football to work with the COO to agree a business and football plan and then just let them get on with it.
i believe SL is a City fan and looking to do the best for the club. He would of sold up ages ago otherwise. He’s a retired billionaire ffs.
If some other billionaire comes in or some investment group with hidden backing that we’ll never know anything about take over then the risk of things going further tits up increases. Just look at the other takeovers of other clubs in this division. How many have got to the prem and established themselves without then coming back down after a couple of seasons and ended up with massive debts. Cardiff, Swansea, Reading, Hull, Sheff Utd

I think, and this is fair, he could of had one or two lines.
"I cannot wait to get back to work but my health needs to take priority at this present time. I want to give 100% on my return to get the club to where it should be, however in the meantime I have full confidence in Curtis and the rest of the staff. COYR's".
You’ve done it for him. Job done

OMG, we literally will argue about anything on here

Not for me thanks

I come at this from a different angle. I moved around the country a bit in my pre secondary days and so have not been born with any ancestral loyalty to any team. When I moved to Bristol I went to watch City once with a friend and City have become my team since but I rarely go and watch them now? Why?
I loved playing football. Always beat sitting there watching others play. I never played a standard higher than park league but playing beat supporting any team for me and that feeds into how a support professional teams. City are my team and I want them to win but more important to me now is a love of just seeing good football whoever it is playing.
My little lad is just really getting into football now and Liverpool has become his team. I’d love him to support City but to be really honest I’d just love him to love football like I do.
My old man wasn’t much of a football fan, it was my grandad on my mum’s side that got me into football and I like to think I follow it in the same way that he did in that I just love the sport and who I follow comes second.

I’m not totally in with the some of the Smith love in comments.
Yep, not bad manager but he had a huge budget when in the championship and his budget got him so far in the prem and now he was starting to get found out. I mean come on he managed a team that we scored 8 against
