More likely to be on Wednesday 24th August 2022, following Tranmere Rovers’ v Newcastle.

They signed Luke Freeman on a free from Sheffield United in July, he recently made headlines off the pitch: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/luke-ayling-leeds-united-pride-27715913
Luke's like we've mixed up our former Lukes.

Vikings definitely sailed there. Norse era archaeological remains have been discovered in a number of Newfoundland locations with technology and materials only available in Europe at the time.
I read a book about Cod once (yes really!) and it advances a compelling argument that although the Norse "Vinland" knowledge had been lost, both Basque and Bristolian fishermen had re-discovered North America well before Columbus (and Cabot) but kept the discovery secret for commercial advantage. There is even a reference in the Bristol archives by one merchant to "our distant fishing grounds, across the Ocean" (ie: the Grand Banks) dating back to 1454.
Going back to Acey and ap Sion, Jerseymen call people from Guernsey "donkeys". Scott certainly isn't one, and let's hope these two lads are equally not.
For information only: The "donkeys" of Guernsey, call Jersey people "crapauds" (crapaud is French for toad).

We have only one away match between 25 april and 27 may, the final game at Huddersfield (which on current form will affect their promotion/play off position).

Interesting shape to those penalty areas.

Alex Scott, trial for Bristol City (first half?).

If Towler is fit again he would add a second defensive option to the bench.

Why no mention in this thread of the stamp on Scott in the 2nd half?

I have lived in Sweden and it is common there to see men with packets of the stuff packed behind their upper lips.
The quouted "unnamed League One boss" says "Last year muscle injuries were up and generally that was put down to Covid and the games being on average every 3.2 days. But I believe probably half were down to snus."
Can we think of a Champioship club that had many muscle injuries last year? Was there a snus connection?

Following in the footsteps of Guernsey FC who started coming over in 2011, at about the same level I think, but have been promoted since. Guernsey FC are a feeder club to our academy, currently we've got Alex Scott, although other(s?) haven't worked out, and they have taken a number of our youngsters on loan. Must be some connection....

Stewart is the most disappointing at the moment.
We could have kept Heffernan - one of the rare natural goalscorers - and been better off.
But I live in hope, Stewart's quality may shine through one day
