Judging by his shorts, I couldn't help but notice that Anis seemed to be channelling Charles Charlie Charles last night!

I'm only surprised that no one appears to have posted that under NP we would have sold out and under LM we haven't!

Antipathy to the Lansdowns has created a lot of revisionist fans.
Suddenly Ashton appears to be regarded as an unfairly maligned patsy. If this carries on Robbored will posting that Gary Johnson was our greatest ever manager!

That's a red card and a 3 match ban for Bailey Wright!

Christmas wrapping this afternoon, so can only follow intermittently on OTIB!
Reading the thread we had a sluggish start, as was the case against Boro. However, the Beeb stats show us having 9 shots, of which 5 were on target ( Naaaritch had none).
With a 1 goal lead ,I'd say that represents a decent half of football. If only they keep it solid for 15 minutes after half time............

In that case, and given the state of this forum since NP's departure, perhaps the game should be sponsored by the Samaritans!

Easy to forget/overlook Alf Ramsey
As a player, he won the league title with Spurs and was an England international
As manager, he took Ipswich from division 3 to 1st division champions. Although his career went downhill thereafter!

Interesting formation
3-6-1
5-4-1
Something like that
Seems unnecessary?
Watched my grandson's team of under 8s the other week and they seemed to play a 0- 10-0 formation, as the whole team swarmed around the ball.
Not suggesting Manning tries this mind you!

We used to call it horse liniment.
I used to rub it into my groin, but to no avail as it didn't grow any bigger.
Mind you I did finish third in the Derby!

Sadly not too young. I was born during City's 54/55 promo season.
Same age as me then.
I might have this wrong, but didn't I give you a lift to Norwich in the play off season 07/08/. If so, I remember you as being much younger than me.
If it wasn't you, then ignore this comment and my stupidity!

No, Dubbin is a horse with a bit of a cold,

OK; P'boro' were elected to the League in 1960. In their first season, they were Div 4 Champions scoring 123 goals with Terry Bly getting 52 of them.
Ah, local knowledge.
IIRC your a bit too young to have been around back then.

I got this email today.
Dear Alan
I am prince Jon Lansdown from Bermuda and your help would be much appreciated.
I want to transfer all of my nest egg out of Bermuda due to a frozen account. If you could be so kind as to transfer £3,500 to my account I will be able to unfreeze my account and transfer my nest egg out of Bermuda and back to Bristol City.
To repay this kindness I will send £1,000,000 to your account.
Please contact me to proceed.
Regards, Jon.
P.S. Compliments of the season
