Whatever anyone thinks of Pearson?, and while i sit uncomfortably on the fence....... and wait to see what he achieves this summer, now that he is able to really start making significant changes? It is so reassuring to have Tinman, who is City through and through, organising, scrutinising and doing what he feels is best for his club. Having him in the background taking care of the academy, makes me feel assured and more confident about our long term prospects? He is the lifeblood of our club, and I think his contribution in the present and in the future to Bristol City , will be massive?

Our top league has been going the same way? Not quite?............it's not constantly dominated by 2 just clubs. The example of the anomaly of the Leicester win in '16 could never, ever be replicated in Scotland........at least not since 37 years ago?

Celtic celebrate their league win by beating the 5th place side, Motherwell 6-0 , who were 44 points behind them prior to kick off. Scottish football is so edge of the seat, and overwhelmingly exciting ? ?

Every dog has its day.................and they haven't won anything yet? One of the main reasons they have had success in Europe IMHO is due to the fact they only play 4 or 5 difficult domestic games a season.....whereas Premier League sides hardly ever have an easy game?

Talking of Sottish football....which i rarely can be bothered with.............I see there's a real tense game tonight? .........Celtic, only 45 points ahead of tonight's opponents, can clinch "Yawn!!" the title tonight? Why don't they have a two legged game against Rangers in August, then just have the next 8 months off? ..............or even better still, add them to the English Championship, and see if they can both avoid being relegated???

There's experience.............and then there's past experience, my faith in Pearson recruiting older heads evaporated after the signings of Simpson and King, although Klose is a possible exception? ( yet we failed to tie him down to a reasonable contract?) Perhaps i am being unfair? But Time and again, we never seem to get contract lengths right.....as i think Klose will be off? .................Though, Hope i am wrong?

I need to listen to this! First i have heard of Benarous's' ACL, THAT is sad news. Can HNM be blamed for wanting to improve his career, get better coaching, and play within a higher grade of abilities? It is extremely unfair to accuse a 21 year old of crocodile tears, when he obviously has affection for the club....but quite reasonably wants to play at a higher level and be ambitious. HNM could supply the funds to overhaul our very average midfield, which would be a great legacy for him to leave?. He has never got a consistent run in the side, and was often switched position, so taking that into consideration, i think he has performed well. More knowledgeable coaches than you or I are willing to pay comparatively big money for him, so THEY can obviously see what he can eventually achieve..........I wish him all the very best, and believe he can leave with his head held high...............anyway off to this podcast...Ha!

Why is it puzzling? Seems pretty straightforward to me? HNM will go to the very top IMHO, he is only 21, and with better coaching, and surrounded by better quality players he will improve immeasurably. Why do you think top coaches, who are far more knowledgeable than us, are interested in him? Because they can see his tremendous potential, I just hope we make sure we secure sell on clauses, as I see him fetching even bigger money in the future. It will be fascinating to see what fee we get for him, you might be surprised?

Pheck me..............loathe them or loathe them. Credit where credit is due.....that is (Yes, I Know they're bottom of the league) ....an amazing result . It sticks in my throat, but well done, that was a hard result to achieve?

i believe that it is absolutely crucial that we recruit at least 2 quality midfield players........for me the lack of combative ball winners and their ability to pass consistently is a major failing. James and Williams are competent squad players, but alongside the excellent Scott, we need some more quality? Whether that is possible to achieve within the confines of our budget,, i don't know, but i am certain that there are players out there who we can recruit, if our scouting department pulls their weight, who are available, and good enough. We have a good attack, which could probably do with one addition, and an improving defence, but i feel that our midfield is sub standard, and is in need of a major upgrade? Maybe HNM's departure can provide the funds? I love HNM, and wish him all the very best in his future career.............perhaps he can leave us with sufficient funds to overhaul our midfield as his parting gift??
