  1. We release something circa to a dozen players bring in a couple of free transfers and two players from the lower leagues for £1.5m, pretty easy to understand why we're struggling. Sooner the rest of the crap can be cleared out and any manager gets some funds we will struggle to stay in this league. What a mess.
  2. Not when you look at the mess of a wage bill he and Ashton left.
  3. SL needs to give Pearson some money in January, we have no forward line or creativity.
  4. Try this. https://archive.ph/YIOeY For future reference you can often paste paywall links into the below and it bypasses after a couple of attempts. https://archive.ph
  5. Yate is full of City fans very much like the rest of North Bristol. I hope they smash Yeovil.
  6. Well said. Difficult season and this team and manager need our support.
  7. Shock horror losing to another parachute funded top 3 team, awaiting the typical OTIB meltdown.
  8. He was clearly completely knackered and had to come off, shame he couldn't finish the game with his one on one chance. Played well.
  9. What % of fans are casual punters? If you think the prices are acceptable then fine but many SC holders are taking their business elsewhere. As for the casual non members hoping to take their families to a game they will look at the price of tickets and overpriced poor concessions and say no thanks, or not again, I know plenty who have already. At least our home form will keep the fans coming back for more.
  10. As a group of 5 we now just refuse to drink in the ground from this season, £5.60 for a flat tepid pint served in plastic. New pies are also crap and overpriced. As others have alluded to Ashton Gate full stop is overpriced for any casual punter and their family.
  11. I'm gonna make one prediction with certainty, my Lions will be stinking out venues around the US through autumn and winter. Hopefully to get the no1 draft pick in Spring. Hoping the Bills win the Super Bowl.
  12. That statement is a shocker, I hope the press pick up on it and take them apart. What a horrible shambles of a club.
  13. Really happy to get Sewell at 7.
  14. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31359453/aaron-rodgers-want-return-green-bay-packers-sources-say Aaron Rodgers wanting out of Green Bay would be big news.
  15. Ah I was swapping about as I was doing it, meant to put Lance into 8, to be honest outside of Lawrence and Wilson the other three QBs Lance, Fields and Jones are interchangeable.
  16. I can the logic in that @Welcome To The Jungle I think if any of Mac Jones, Fields or Lance are still available after 6, then you will see trades up into 7th and/or 8th. To jump the Broncos, Patriots, Houston, Bears could all make moves. Detroit will play on the thought they may take a QB to groom behind Goff. Going to be interesting. I reckon. 1. Jaguars: Tevor Lawrence 2. Jets: Zac Wilson 3. 49ers: Mac Jones 4. Atlanta: Kyle Pitts 5. Bengals: Penei Sewell 6. Miami: Jam'Mar Chase 7. Lions trade with Broncos: Justin Fields 8. Panthers trade with Patriots: Mac Jones 9. Lions via Broncos trade: Micah Parsons or Devonte Smith 10. Cowboys: Patrick Surtain
  17. Agreed @Welcome To The Jungle the big unknown is who the 49ers take at three. If its QB Mac Jones then teams will be scrambling to trade up to get the final top QBs. Looking forward to it.
  18. Bengals have to protect Burrows better, I think taking Sewell makes sense. The general opinion from the Lions fans is if we don't trade back then whoever Cinci pass on will go to Detroit on the 7th pick. I also really like Linebacker Micah Parsons.
  19. NFL Draft is the first major date for the new upcoming season. Any talent catch your eye? Any major needs? It seems likely 4 or 5 QBs will go in the top 10, also a good depth of wide receivers in this year's class. Already lots of interesting trades. My forever woefully poor Lions being involved in one major trade again to start another rebuild including a complete new backroom staff and QB.
  20. Just reading their forum reminded me how frustrating LJ is. Developing players, lovely bloke but counter that with streaky runs, endless formation changes, random team selections. He hasn't yet started calling out players and blaming everyone but himself but no doubt baffling them with his clever remarks and catchphrases. I wish him well, and hope he finds the magic formula but don't miss him one bit.
  21. Oh right, I assumed he must have already been sentenced, is going to Rovers not his Community Service punishment?
  22. Nice to see the tombola dusted off. Glad the club turned down LJ request to take it to Sunderland.
