  1. I like a nice fire pit, but can take or leave a BBQ, it’s a lot of fuss to grill a couple of chops or sausages……
  2. A great footballing character, I’m another who would have liked to see him here (although not in the last few years, more when he was in his pomp), a thoroughly decent bloke as well. I hope he gets some TV and punditry work, as he is very knowledgeable about the game.
  3. That was an interesting interpretation of the rules today, Stroll pitted under a safety car, swapped hards for mediums, pitted next time round and swapped back to hards, covering off his use of two tyre types in one lap under the safety car. Obviously OK, but is that the spirit of the rule, maybe they should set a lap limit, or that you must complete at least one lap under race conditions.
  4. …… how to lay yourself bare to get a sale! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154933141682?hash=item2412bc20b2:g:Uo0AAOSwUtJiS1uG
  5. I’m expecting a couple of red flags at least tomorrow, not sure the cars and tyres are quite right yet.
  6. That was a hell of a crash for Mick Schumacher and well done to Perez.
  7. R5 reporting that Australia is giving him a state funeral….. that’s some accolade.
  8. Shocking news, what a loss to cricket, condolences to his family. BTW @PHILINFRANCE not sure that huge picture is adding to a memorial thread.
  9. I’m assuming pm = per month, not per mile ?
  10. It’s tempting to turn over and watch Greg Wallace in an ice cream factory…..
  11. Just stop, it’s not clever, and FFS stop quoting posts that you know contain things that possibly shouldn’t be aired.
  12. I have no idea how Everton’s record signing is, I will admit I have gone from being pretty fanatical, not missing one of our games and watching any games on TV, so having a good idea of players through the leagues, to feeling somewhat indifferent to football now, can’t exactly put my finger on why, probably a few reasons.
  13. I just can’t believe that if this was widely known in the club that it could be kept secret and more importantly there wouldn’t be at least some employees, be they players or other staff that wouldn’t take some sort of stand. But then, if the girl and her family wanted to hush it up as well, who knows, maybe my slim hope of some decency left in the world is misguided.
  14. If there are people at Man U who knew the truth, then I doubt it was many, how could it have been kept quiet other wise, surely golden boy Rashford with his social conscience would have blown the lid if he’d known, wouldn’t he?
  15. A Manager who left in 2013 and is 80 years old, why would he have any idea what the current players were doing in their private lives?
  16. Nike have now suspended their association with Greenwood.
  17. Knowing a wrong ‘un - so you are talking about team mates, whilst they are employees of the club, they aren’t the establishment of the club that you seemed to imply would know. Would they take those concerns upwards, without solid evidence? I can recall some reports a few years back (from sources I’d trust) of at least one of our players acting a complete nob to bar staff ( female) in a night club and burning £50 notes to ‘ prove’ how rich he was, could that have been a forerunner to worse behaviour, should someone have reported it?
  18. Why would Man U know? Who in Man U are you saying knew, his teammates, Manager, CEO?
  19. I haven't been following his fortunes, but he got ripped a new one on the EFL 606 on R5 tonight, he's not popular......
  20. Well, that’s the reason for the question, it’s all adults, participating with their own equipment, so I wouldn’t have thought the many organisers of small competitions all over the country would be liable, but it would be good to know for sure. I’ve tried looking on the web, but all that points to is companies that will sell insurance, but I’m not likely to pay for insurance (nor are many other organisers) as we get nothing from organising the competitions (apart from being able to take part paying the same entry as the others).
  21. It is, but not for clubs, I was wondering the potential liability for open competitions organised by an individual on a commercial venue that has its own liability insurance.
  22. I have a.question regarding liability insurance for organising small competitions. Happy to expand by PM if anyone can help.
