Nice to hear from Leroy but saying it’s a nice positive start after 40 seconds is a bit much!

I think anyone expecting wholesale changes to the squad over the summer are going to be pretty disappointed
I've heard this as well Pete, 1 or 2 signings. There is still this belief we should be challenging in the play offs with what we have.

I watch a lot of Man City games because my son supports them aswell as him supporting us. His maternal grand father is from Manchester and is a Man City fan.
So I sit and watch the Man City games with him. Problem with that? I watch pretty much every premier league game that's on TV because I'm a football fan. This might be a shock to you, but football fans like watching football. Especially the best teams. I'll watch about 6 games this weekend plus our own.
Guess I support all those clubs too and that they are my first teams despite me not having season tickets to them clubs and never attending their games.
I think there is a difference between watching a teams games and appreciating the football to proclaiming your support for them/buying their shirts etc.

Some interesting debates on the thread!
TBH I don’t get the Premier League team thing. I like watching the football for what it is, for example last night hence my OP; but supporting a successful Premier League club you have no real association with doesn’t make sense to me.
I know people who support Premier League teams who have never seen them live, I’d imagine many of you are similar. Appreciate others see it all differently mind you.
One of the most frustrating things you get asked when proclaiming your support for City is “yeah but who is your Prem team?”!
Having a local team you support I do get especially if it’s where you live or where you are from. Some might say surely that’s the same thing, it’s a second team, but I think it’s different if it’s where you actually live or perhaps where you grew up.

Ice cool that lad! What a game at Stamford Bridge!
Anyone else watch that tonight? Superb stuff!

Tinnion wouldn’t have had a clue who De Zerbi was, Brighton are so far ahead of us in every respect it is ridiculous.
So true Graham. I’ve said a few times on here, that play off final is the slidiest of sliding doors moments in our history.
Forget Luton, Coventry and anyone else he’s mentioned, it’s Brighton who we should really try to emulate; but couldn’t be further from it.

Thanks, but not the link I was looking for.
My champagne moment was going to be the spoof video of JL giving his reasons why Nige was sacked
Ha, found it now
Absolutely pissed myself when this came out, still funny now! The “naaahsty maaaan” bit and the little laugh at the end get me every time!

They missed the manager of the season award......................
Based on win percentage that’s easy; Curtis Fleming!

You’d like to think this was just an accident then and its ends here. I do know Adi Dassler was a Nazi party member though, pretty sure all the Dasslers were actually and I think stood trial at the end of the war.

Good win that, but more importantly a reasonable performance on the back of the Leicester game. Always good to win away and a clean sheet too. Well done lads!
Doesn't change anything for me, but as per Friday, credit where its due.

Scrappy as hell, but matters not! Great to get ahead!
The City fans chanting "We're Bristol City, we'll sit where we want" suggest we're in the home end!

Odd to make 3 subs when we finished the half on top. Must be knocks I guess. Nice start to the second half though.

Weird we're not playing in red, kits clash pretty badly!

Sports 10 showing our game and Gas game on the same link now.

If it was a choice between resigning him or Williams, it would be him all day long.
Absolutely. Putting all the Manning debate aside surely we can all agree James is just outstanding and key to our midfield. He was superb again today. I’d be really disappointed to see him move on in the summer.

Liam - please follow that up with an interesting and insightful post-match interview without mentioning principles or behaviours

Credit where it’s due, a much improved performance overall, but Leicester and in particular Vardy threw that away.
One thing is for sure, he’s definitely going nowhere now!

I felt like the theme of the press conference was very much "I'm here until at least next season so get used to it"
So depressing mate.

He comes accross as a guy who feels very content and secure in his job. That's probably because every morning Tinnion is knocking on his door and saying "don't worry about recent results, it was only 6 games ago we beat Southampton"
Exactly. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been told this; or something along the lines of “we believe in you” and that he’s got all summer and next season. Whether they can stick to this if we keep losing is another matter though.

Am I right in hearing the sell out away end will be singing their support for Nigel Pearson today ???
Blimey, if true imagine a huge majority of the home fans joining in !!!!!
If we’re losing, especially heavily, I think they will. It’s not like City fans singing Pearson’s name hasn’t happened already since Manning joined.

Can't believe that we haven't sung that one a few times already TBH.
We have. Not that much but it’s been sung.

Bingo fans in for a treat here. Bad news is that Liam doesn’t see one season ending and another one starting but wants to just see the progress continue.
He also believes he’s his own biggest critic. A certain seagull from Weston objects.
A few interesting questions. Really didn’t answer the question about planned subs or otherwise.
There speaks a man in complete confidence his job is safe.
I obviously never want to see us lose; but for the first time I think ever I can’t help thinking a stuffing at home against Leicester and a hugely toxic atmosphere may actually be a good thing in the long run.

Blackburn Rovers at home match thread

Blackburn were truly shocking, one of, if not the worst we’ve seen all season and gifted all five goals. You can only beat what’s in front of you and our early pressure upset them.
Clearly a good result though, well done lads!
