  1. Great post. Just listened to the interview, it’s always good to hear from him but his comments came across as pretty arrogant today with little in the way of self awareness; at least that which he’d share on local radio. The issues he talked about were entirely of his making with numerous poor decisions. Clearly, he’s been good overall and we’re all grateful for the stadium, HPC and academy, but the failures are his as much as the successes. It’s also pretty clear there will be no Lansdown dynasty; he’s selling up if he can. I also noted when asked of his favourite memories he reeled off the ones we all would, but didn’t mention the double/title winning season at all.
  2. Appreciate the opinions of those thinking he might stay or come back on loan, but IMHO I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a bang to rights player leaving (as in sale to a higher level) as Alex.
  3. Everton look finished. Be a good away day!
  4. Absolute filth from Man City. Our performance against them looks superb!
  5. Agreed on this, personally I would do this or other places away fan friendly like the Tobacco Factory.
  6. If they go up I hope we give Ashton the reception he deserves at Ashton Gate.
  7. Indeed great day that mate!
  8. I’ve just seen this from Spurs, refunding fans after their performance and result at Newcastle. It was awful, clearly, but surely watching a shit game and woeful performance now and then is part and parcel of supporting your team home and away. Isn’t that part of what makes the great games and great results great; that from time to time we endure absolute rubbish? Certainly we’ve had enough woeful performances over the years, and I do recall refunds of CATS travel costs once or twice, but I’m not sure how this sits with me. Isn’t the better gesture from your team’s players is to apologise, move on and then put in a performance in the very next game?
  9. We gave a guard of honour for PNE in the 1999/2000 season.
  10. Webster ran it close, but Tammy for me, the best striker since Andy Cole, who has gone on to play at the top level.
  11. Is that called “doing a Watford”? Not sure Alex would want to join such a basket case of a club.
  12. Replacing Rochdale, relegated on Saturday after 102 years in the football league.
  13. What on Earth do we think his market value is now then after this? £25m? £30m? More?! Certainly a record sale imminent.
  14. Great attendance, as many as the Gas get for the men’s team!
  15. What a way to do it! Well done City, did us proud this afternoon and good turn out.
  16. Indeed, always had respect for Rotherham fans after that game they were class.
  17. Having seen some of his continued nonsense at Hibs I don’t miss it in the slightest!
  18. Thanks for this; which all adds to the ‘heads been turned’ cliche. I don’t blame him, he’s a very young lad and who knows how any of us would react in that situation. He may well not feature that much now before he’s off.
  19. Actually forgotten about him until I read this. Someone who has thoroughly burnt his bridges with us and won’t get very far.
  20. Just noted it was 8 years ago today we won the league one title.
