  1. I completely agree. The only place I hear anything positive said about things at the moment is on OTIB. Well, that and Sound of the City!
  2. Unfortunately I completely agree with you. I thought in Manning’s presser this week he didn’t sound like a man whose job was on the line with the Swansea game. That result today will give them a feeling of being right about supporting him. I think things will have to get really, really bad for them to sack him. He’s their man and they are doubling down on it. In the meantime Manning is losing the fans as each game passes and snide swipes at us really don’t help that.
  3. Indeed, never going to go well if you start blaming the fans.
  4. Unfortunately he’s staying. That result will just vindicate their decision to stick with him. Also said that were are better defensively under Manning!
  5. I actually saw him do a vague attempt at it as he walked away from the singing section, two limp fist pumps rather than the usual. All a bit pathetic really.
  6. Yes, the win was important, but the game was dreadful. Again.
  7. As bad a win as you’ll ever see that. Clearly the win was everything but the game itself, especially first half, was appalling. Fortunately Swansea couldn’t get a shot of target else it would’ve been a very different story.
  8. Fair point KITR. Certainly be interesting to see how it pans out.
  9. I can’t see it being anything other than pretty toxic if we lose Pete. Bad enough against Cardiff!
  10. Absolutely. None of us ever want to see City lose a game, but if we do tomorrow I can only see it being hugely negative/toxic. There will be no good feeling that’s for sure!
  11. ‘You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain’.
  12. Indeed, he was probably touted as some sort of saviour, believes in himself to the point failure is everyone else’s fault and has had a shock at what’s transpired. For all that though he doesn’t sound like a man under pressure to me.
  13. Best reply to a typo I’ve seen! It’s so frustrating we’ve gone from Gould and Nige to this.
  14. Tinnion loves Manning. In his mind he’s not going anywhere. Lose on Sunday and you’ll have the wraith of Ashton Gate.
  15. The other quote, apart from the obvious one, that got me was the one about “we’re all heading in the right direction”! What’s that Manning?! Down?!
  16. I don’t get any sense from that he’s a man under pressure or that a loss on Sunday will do anything for his job security. As expected and as feared they are sticking with this charlatan.
  17. That’s a good point Fevs. If they act now a rebuild isn’t really needed, maybe just a couple of key players. If Manning is given the summer and brings in his own players and fails next season then we really are starting all over again.
  18. Some great points there. This will certainly make the fan fare of season ticket sales for next season a tough one.
  19. For me it has to be someone with experience of getting a club into the Premier League, or similar abroad. Other clubs have snapped up some of the obvious candidates there, but I would think Cooper is probably the one who would be available. Personally I think Lansdown will hang on to Manning as long as possible and hope we miss relegation.
  20. More time to develop as a coach? Quite possibly but the way it’s going not at our expense! Sunday is last chance saloon for me. He needs a positive performance and a win. Lose again and Ashton Gate I would’ve thought will have seen enough.
  21. Still a 6 point gap then, but looks depressing doesn't it? 5pm Saturday going into the Swansea game could look even more interesting!
  22. And also said it was “something he has to manage”.
  23. Not heard the pod yet but sounds hilarious! To reiterate a point I made on another thread, I have it on impeccable authority that he had a hand in Nige’s sacking and Manning’s appointment.
