Its a shame there is so little "highlights" of the match taking into account it was a mid week game
-
The big match ITV4 Saturday 20th April kick off 10:35am features Ipswich v Man City from 11th April 1981 with the great man in action.

Can't go to Sky meetings any more as they hold their AGM's in the USA
ITV will hold their AGM on Thursday 2nd May,so I will be attending.
We all know about how Sky will broadcast EFL games, but no mention of free to air highlights,if there are going to be any, so I'll be asking if ITV will have the highlights package
If Sky are going to announce all televised games up to January 2025,I think Sky will show all five live Championship games on at 12:30pm on Saturdays
to go up against BT/TNT's prem game
red button for home consumers, one match only if your watching in a pub if your watching EFL live games.
Although on the first weekend of the football season(when there are no prem games)I think that sky will show the five games over fri/sat/sun/mon

Make sure you use the Elizabeth line, head to number one platform by the clock out into the open and its on the right hand side
The speed is like a Saturn five rocket taking off

You did not reply to the posting about me knowing about the new EFL deal twelve months ago
regarding the items that secret Sam wants to give away I would be very interested in the paper cuttings

How much are you asking for the tickets?
-
and don't forget if your making the journey by car from the Bristol aerial, the best route is M4 to Newbury and then down the A34.
If you you leave early(if its a 3pm kick off) you can see the pride of the Royal Navy ships where they are based, including HMS Bristol.

See me at Ashton Gate against Huddersfield, and I'll show you the article

In my opinion I think radio coverage will suffer, would you really want to listen to a match when you could watch it legally?
Who remembers when you could purchase LP's of cup finals on vinyl in the 1970's and 1980's
Then when the video recorder arrived,no one bought the records any more
Season ticket sales could also suffer, sadly.

and they don't allow pay on the day,EVER.
-
Would anyone know the dates of the games that will be played at Ashton Gate?
-
Those floodlights always remind of when the Apollo mission rockets started to lift off the ground, the lights looked like the Bristol City floodlights.
Check it out on you tube.

Hope most of you enjoyed the "left hand" views,
a two car football special was used to take us back to Bristol stopping at Exeter on the way back to Bristol leaving at 17:40pm
-
Our highlights consisted of the goal and the sending off.
-
Not sure if this MIGHT effect any traveling to the Plymouth game
signal problems at Frome and electricity issue between Swansea and Cardiff
-
For just ten pounds, its not the same, but Just in case any one has not got a ticket,
or were thinking of heading down that way in the hope of getting a match day ticket.

Glad you posted that info,
are there any Royal Navy book shops buying/selling anything to do with the Royal Navy in the Plymouth area?
-
off on match days.
If Elton John(and others) is allowed this Privilege why not football followers
For any one who was in the Winterstoke Road area just after the game finished
the two fire engines that were seen, were heading for Long Ashton after a car had flipped over
Alternative route Cumberland Basin head towards the A370 and up to the south Bristol link road, and the same in the opposite direction

Cross country trains take approx two hours to get to Plymouth from BTM and depart at 45 minutes past the hour
GWR trains take approx 2 hours and 35 minutes.
We have not had a 3pm kick against Plymouth since 2008,that's SIXTEEN years ago
So advise sitting on the left hand side of the train, where the views are stunning in direction of travel on the way to Plymouth
Wellington monument,Dawlish Warren aerial and for the train buffs on the approach to Plymouth Laira diesel depot.
Then when you arrive at Plymouth station,Home park floodlights can be seen on your right hand side and up the hill
If your gonna arrive early(like me) I am gonna have a trip round bay to see where the Royal navy ships are based
and to mention the class 23 Frigate HMS Bristol is also there
Group save is available on GWR trains BUT not on Cross country trains, split ticketing is available on GWR and Cross country trains
If your joining at Bristol Parkway and any cross country train is cancelled, get yourself down to Filton Abbey Wood and connect into a GWR Plymouth/Penzance train
Please stock up on your liquid requirements, packets of crisps and chocolate bars in advance it will be cheaper and the trains will be that busy the food/drinks trolley will struggle to get to your seat/s.
If you want to listen to Radio Devon's commentary of the game it will be on 95:7 and DAB
We have beaten two teams home and away so far this season Middlesbrough and Swansea.
We still have the chance of beating another three teams at both home and away this season,Sunderland and Rotherham and Plymouth on Monday.
The return cross country train is at 17:27pm,I have not seen anything about a return football special after the game.
If your gonna use the Cross country service suggest reserving a seat on the 17:27pm service AND
tweet Cross country asking if they might put on a ten coach set for the 17:27 service.
Lets hope for a very good day in Devonshire.
