  1. There is no requirement to have a mask on anywhere in the ground, if you want to that's a matter of personal choice, at the friendly last week most people didn't have masks on
  2. Not been this excited about a game in years , didn't realize I had missed it so much until this morning, got the feeling the crowd is going to push the boys to a good win today
  3. The deal is all done for the reopening of the line , network rail already have it out to tender for the construction of it, it's just waiting for north Somerset to rubber stamp the planning once covid lets them have a public desplay of the plans, The idea of an Ashton gate station was dropped at least 3 version of the plans for the line ago after the report into the stations substantially and ability to generate income found that not enough local people in the area to use it and make it pay, interesting match day attending was not allowed to be considered as the rules do not allow for special events it all has to be based on how many will.use it when the football isn't on, I know there was an offer at one point for an excursion platform but this never went anywhere as the club didn't want to pay the millions it would have cost and they could not be sure that it would be used by GWR , The only hope at the moment is the Bristol west 4 tracking happens as this will make parson street back to 4 platforms so the trains from the new line will be able to stop something at the moment they will not
  4. Apparently Stendel has a very strong regional accent and the translator didn't understand all what he was saying so the judge got worried his answers where not being translated correctly, also problems with the sound on the zoom,
  5. The government has already starting spinning themselves out of that it's all about the good data now, they just can't keep the country in lockdown until June if there is hardly any covid well before that, remember we are not going for a zero covid country we have already accepted that it will always be here the government just want it at a level where it kills no more than flu around 10000 a year, Also bojo is under a lot of pressure from his own party to speed up the opening, this will only get greater as things keep going better with the jab,
  6. No they said they would follow the data and if as looks very likely things are going far better than expected then they should follow that date and open things sooner, there was some one on TV from the government yesterday saying that they may only need 2 weeks between the lifting if restrictions now not the 4 they thought,
  7. I guess the club could send out an email to all season ticket holders asking if they are interested in going and then do a ballot on all who say yes, dose look like a fair few are not interested in going , plus the level 3 people who can't go maybe a lot less than 12k in it,
  8. I would guess they would, feel sure the club will not sell to anyone who lives in tire 3
  9. Surly the club is not going to just do that , they have had months to work out a fair system, 12k all logging on at 10am is surly going to crash the system,
  10. Forgot about that, looks a silly idea now, I really hope they don't try to charge full price as that's no way to treat us fans after such a long break from the Gate,
  11. That doesn't sound right why would we have to by tickets, surly they should just be places allocated to season ticket holders, what are the club up to,
  12. I know it will be all season ticket holders, was trying to think of ways that the club could split us up when deciding who gets the first set of tickets, I don't like the idea of a random ballet , surly those who support the club more by doing away games should get something back from the club, it's the way it would be done for a big cup game,
  13. So fans will now be back at the Gate on boxing Day, some good news at last, I hope the club will announce soon how they are going to decide who gets the first 2000 ticket, I would like to see the club use attending away and cup games as an easy way of working it out , those who have followed city most over the last 3 seasons Should get first dibs, I am guessing any city fans in south Gloucestershire will be banned so that should help, but still see being a hard choice for the club who gets the tickets
  14. I said I hoped the info I posted was correct and it will be over by them , I don't understand why so many seam to want it to go on longer, I am hopeful thought that fans will be back at the gate sooner than that as if this level 3 works Bristol could be a level 2 by some time in January
  15. Have just watched the interview on sky sports news that's not what the chairman said at all, he was talking about the red zones of the ground where the players and officials have to sit, those stands have to be closed so no fans can sit in them, one turnstile can't be used as its next to the players entrance so in the red zone, every ground in the country has red zones it's an FA thing, nothing at all to do with lockdown restrictions,
  16. Disappointing that Bristol is in tier 3 so no fans allowed, they are going to check every 14 days so hopefully at some point Bristol will get into tier 2 and we will get back this season,
  17. I am just quote the people who are the experts in this I see no reason to think they are making those charts up the top scientists in this are saying it will not be anything other that another background virus by may at the latest like all the other flu , no one is saying that it will be wiped out or that it will never come back in a lesser way like most flu do, that are saying by May at the latest it will not be a pandemic and we will be able to go back to doing things normal , I really hope they are right, I am sorry if I was not clear in my other post,
  18. There you go, as you can see everyone except Imperial expecting covid to be over by March, with all agreed there will be a spike at Xmas followed by a sharp fall
  19. Its 4000 or 50% of capacity which ever is the smallest number so if a side like Accrington was in a level 1 area then they would only be allowed 2725 fans in as that's 50% of there total capacity, as u say that figure for Accrington is probably no that different from what they would get normally, it dose look to me like it's a rule designed to help the smaller clubs in league 1 and 2 most
  20. No scientists I can find online agree with that, most expect a small spike after Christmas but it go down very quickly as the virus will have picked by then and already on downward trend and aiming to see it naturally finishing towards the end of March
  21. As it now looks like fans are going to be back in Ashton gate from next month but sadly with Bristol likely to be in level 2 restrictions on 2000 of us how will the club decide who gets to go, Having looked through some threads I can see there are quite a few season ticket holders who will not want to go yet basted on what they have posted for different good reasons, but that could still leave a guess of 8000 season ticket holders wanting to go, I hope the club contact every season ticket holder soon and find out if they are interested in going to matches and draw up a list of those who want to go working through it 2k at a time for each match , I my mean only going to 1 match in 4 but it's a lot better than non at the moment,
  22. Why that's not supported by any of the different scientific groups following the progress of the virus in this country most have models that show by the end of March it will be down to Almost 0 infections for the whole country so why do you think it would be so high in February
  23. As there is a chance Bristol could be in the new level 3 from December I would think it unlikely city will be allowed to have fans back, I would guess most of the league teams who play in cities would find they are in an area where fans are still banned,
