OK mate, as a little taster then this is Janelle Monae on her TV debut on Letterman.

If you like rock and hip hop then you should have no problem appreciating this performance.

One for @Lew-T as well as plenty of soul and a bit of funk on show too.

    Plus her dancing!

I saw her at the Academy years ago and, like I say, one of the best all round artistic performances I've ever seen.

Quite a lot of people don’t seem to like solo female singers for some reason. Or don’t even give them a chance. I think if that performance was by a band called The Monaes instead more people would have discovered it by now and would be fans of the band.

But the club are happy to take your money  even though they obviously know most people are in the UK and using VPN's. It's an income stream they're happy to accept.

    So yes they should refund.

Read the Ts and Cs. They literally tell you that these games aren’t to be shown so where is your ground for a refund?

i subscribe to the annual package, so not having games available (without prior warning)  should mean a refund.

if you buy a car and they take one of the wheels away, you'd expect recompense.

Do you believe you should get a refund if you are uk based and shouldn’t actually be watching ?

    domestic or overseas apparently.

why is that and will they refund the Robins TV subscribers?

No refunds needed if you haven’t bought the game. If you pay monthly or annually then you take a chance I guess.  Bearing in mind most robins tv users are in the UK anyway I don’t blame the club for not refunding

Now give the kid a game...................

A lot of fans want Manning out. His two best players are Vyner and Dickie. Dropping one now would be a bit foolish in my opinion.

It’s not about being a super patriot, it’s about realising how fortunate he is to be in a position to play for his country.

If he doesn’t want to play for England, fine, I can’t agree with that as a stance but don’t go and make a scene about it.

Sitting on the bench for England is more than the vast, vast majority of professionals get to do. He should be fighting for a place in the team, not sulking off because he’s not an automatic starter

Has he made a scene? His club said he didn’t want to be considered.  Why should he be fighting for a place just because you would ?

    this though, bit extreme…

Ian Wright: “The next young player who says he does not want to play for England should be ordered to ring the parents of a soldier who has died serving his country in Afghanistan, and tell them his reasons.”

I like Wright a lot but that is bizarre. Ben White shouldn’t be allowed to do what he wants?

    Key dates here:

I’d urge everyone, even if they are renewing, to not do so until the last possible minute before the deadline. We’re kind of prisoners to this shitshow but it’s better the money is in your account until 23rd April than theirs and it’s the only small protest we have!

I’d suggest anyone really angry doesn’t renew. Hit them where it hurts

The Adam Murphy thread brings into focus once more just how bad our communication is. But it doesn’t need to be like this, and telling the truth doesn’t make you look stupid. Just off the top of my head, how much better would it have been if communication was the following:

    Murphy

    Instead of:

”He’s doing a long pre season”

    Say: (my assumed position here)

When he performed his medical it was a deal we still wanted to do but there were some concerns - although not ones we expect to be long term - if the players right you take the gamble like Bournemouth did with Scotty. We’re just making sure everything is fully right medically and well then target for him to be fully in the swing of things for next season”

    Medube

    Instead of:

”He didn’t play due to work permit issues”  (now known to be a lie)

    Say:

”For whatever reason it didn’t work out for him in Belgium. However it’s only six months ago that he was a great prospect in Man City’s academy so we’re loaning him to see where he is, and to see if it’s a deal we want to do longer term”

    Targets

    Instead of:

”We hope to be ten points better off”

    Say:

”We want to be around the playoffs. It looks unlikely to happen this season, but it’s not far away in real terms so we expect that although it’s difficult to be top two due to parachute clubs we want to be right in the mix below that next season”

    Performance

    Instead of:

”Everyone was happy three weeks ago”  and “We played well in 19 of 20 games”

    Say:

”The Southampton performance was the level we want to be at, and we probably haven’t been at that enough. The challenge is we need to get there every week and although I think in most games there have been signs, they haven’t hit that consistent level for 90 minutes often enough. And that’s the challenge for the staff and for the players, and it’s one we’ll meet”

Obviously this doesn’t have to be exact, but how much better would everyone be feeling with a bit of truth, professional communication and acknowledgment everything isn’t awesome? It’s not even that it’s a difficult thing to do or makes them look worse!

One problem here. You are intelligent and Tinnion isn’t

  10. “Joel Wilson became the first Test umpire to have 100 successful player reviews against his decisions during the recent IND v ENG series.

    Erasmus retired on 90.

Michael Gough remains a remarkable umpire”

and given him 5 years to get his style implemented...

Good point. His first two seasons he finished 8th as well. Would us as a fanbase give an untried manager a third season after that?  Not sure we would.
