  1. Funny how his appearance coincided with the influx of other new members over the last few weeks though!!
  2. Nige cultists vs BS employees, this place is starting to make American politics look sensible and balanced.
  3. Please keep on posting sense like this. It's punctuating the nonsense nicely. I was gutted to see Pearson sacked and treated the way he was, but people are so determined to push the anti BS / landsdown agenda that they're posting the most ridiculous **** and if it doesn't comform to their opinion than it must be coming from someone on the BS payroll.
  4. Agree with most if this, due to less osib content, FBC had become the default post match listen. But I disagree about Ian Gay having different views. He just shouts louder than the others, and either no one is willing to offer alternative viewpoints or the host moves the conversation on before a counter point can be put forward.
  5. My mistake it was Chris Hogg that coached at Newcastle. My point still stands.
  6. Manning has coached at West ham and Newcastle. I don't think he's going to have any issue with our 'millionaires'.
  7. I think that's just Conway's resting face to be honest.
  8. Just curious, but how do you know who at the club who should be long gone? Have you got access to the HPC and ground where you can see these people in their roles and the skillset to determine who deserves to keep there job? Or are you just making assumptions based on the team's performances?
  9. Anyone got the link? It's not up on the OS. Wonder why
  10. True, and perhaps I'm expecting too much of Steve. Either way, I hope BT has got some balls, because no-one else has been able to stop Steve from flip flopping.
  11. Perhaps it's a case of the Landsdown's finally realising its about the process. Steve's favourite clubs got to where they are with philosophies that span many years and in some cases multiple managers. With a figure like BT in his new role (which supposedly comes with less pressure and demands to succeed in the short term) such a philosophy could be established and bear fruit? (I still think Nige was the best man to get us there mind).
  12. What must the players feel about this whole saga? They clearly play for Nige. They must be nearly as speculative with the situation, lack of clarity and comms as the fans are. Whose to say how they'll play for Nige's replacement if and when that happens.
  13. Have to wonder if they pulled Matty James and Andy King face scans out of the back catalogue from their prem days. Everyone else bar Nahki is shocking.
  14. I think it's the perfect time to play them. We're still unbeaten away from home, off the back of a solid performance against Plymouth, no expectations of much other than a loss and no real fear of ending a mazey unbeaten run like what happened against Man city last year (which then resulted in a drop in performances). Even one of the Second Tier tools has us down for an upset. ?
  15. You'd assume if there is any truth to this than it must be due to bigger issues / changes afoot than simply the Scott sale or SL's determination to interfere. Perhaps this is a sign of a sale or outside investment?
  16. I agree with you, in that I look forward to outside investment or the day when Steve sells to someone a little more football savvy, but I think its unfair to suggest he doesn't want city in the prem or has zero ambition. We all know he threw money at the club previously and I feel its a case of sticking to FFP and a lot of that 'once bitten...' mindset. Sadly we are in a better position now, yet he is showing little willingness to flex (hence his comittment to stick to a transfer budget mapped out in march, which was based on us keeping Alex). To say he has no ambition is to over simplify things, but his stubborness and complete lack of desire to engage with the fanbase (through Jon, the CEO or himself) will lead fans to assume he has none.
  17. Id rather our club not be succesful if that what ot takes.
  18. This viewpoint is f*****g naive it's unreal. And it gets spouted all the time as a stick to beat city with. It would be lovely if players lived and died by their contracts, it'd also be great if they weren't on sickengly high wages, and my wife looked like Margot Robbie but this is the real world.
  19. Bit early to assume this with 3 weeks to go.
  20. Well put, people find it easy to assume Nige may be bluffing about the wages, but dont expect SL to do the same. They may be singing from the same hymn sheet. ?
  21. Yawn, if you cant see the potential behind spreading Alex's value across 2-3 signings that bring the quality of the 1st 11 up, then i give up.
  22. Absolutely. People seem to forget their is a player in equation all to often, and when you mention it they spout the same old 'contract' bull. Well good luck getting promotion off the back of one star player (that despite his professionalism) has had his head turned to some extent.
  23. Name me any other champ club without PP that wouldnt have to sell such a mecurial talent such as AS if the right bid didn't come in? We'll progress if the overall standard of our team grows, not on the back of one or two prized assets. People need to wake up.
