  1. Do you not think the club are trying? Perhaps he does not want to sign?
  2. While i agree I'd like to see another midfielder sign if Scott departs. McCrorie has been mooted to easily slot in to midfield. Nige has recently mentioned Roberts can too. And lets not forget Benarous is on the way back and was exceptional before his injury. Don't think we'll be seeing any more than a GK and perhaps CB.
  3. I'd argue September 1st would be worse! Gutting though. At least we have some time to maneuver. (Despite what Nige said on Monday)
  4. Excited for this. And more than a little gutted we wont be hearing from you guys every week this season.
  5. I actually agree with you, Robbored but its preseason on OTIB a perfect storm for boredome induced hyperbol. "The silence is deafening!!" ?
  6. With regards to the upcoming campaign I'm expecting something in the next week or so. To be honest it feels like preseason is still underway and there is likely some business still to be done, so why bother with interviews when the situation could well change? (Significantly so if Scott departs).
  7. Great read Dave, and as others have said elsewhere - we're lucky to have someone so dedicated to the team but who's also equally dedicated to helping other fans understand how their team works. ?
  8. You're not wrong about him being dissappointingly absent. We were notably better with him in the squad with both our purple patches last season coinciding with his presence in the team. Fingers crossed they're being cautious and he'll be back soon after the season starts.
  9. Hate that term. It usually implies they're faking it or making a meal of it and shows a complete lack of empathy for a player who may be going through a difficult period and who we're meant to support.
  10. His lungs are in good shape (he did win one of the SDS tests) but dont think he's trained with the senior team. Probably avoiding lateral movement and impacts?!
  11. I was being silly as a reflection of the tone of the OP. It is silly season afterall. The child was probably only 1. And despite my similar aged daughter taking issue with his cutting in, at that age anybody's social graces don't amount to much. ?
  12. Seen him with his family at Cadbury garden centre. His little'un wasn't the best at waiting their turn on the soft play. Take that how you will. ?
  13. Was it Ap sion that's meant to be very very quick? Who was the other Guernsey lad?
  14. Point taken, and the last thing I'd want to come across is as OTT on the issue, because it helps no-one.... The Southgate reference is a stretch, mind.
  15. I'm not offended. And I don't think anything was intended by what was an off-the-cuff remark made in the space of a few seconds, but unless you can honestly say the same or a similar comment would be made about Nige's choice of fashion in the same space or time, then you have to admit there's an issue.
  16. Good pod and a mostly enjoyable listen, but what's with the Sarina Wiegman "£67 blazer" remark? Of all the superlatives you could use to describe her and her achievements you make a comment about what she wears? It's attitudes like this (however unintentional or even benevolent) that aren't exactly helping in propelling the women's game forwards. I am however glad you at least discussed the Women's Euros.
  17. Based on our injury record any instances of pushing should be avoided at all costs. ?
  18. Couldn't have put it better myself. Anyone that thinks this isn't a big issue is clearly missing the point and not able to empathise with this lads situation.
  19. It's time to realise that a major investment in new players would be suicidal given FFP and the current financial climate. Plus the High performance centre probably cost a few bob...?
  20. Thought i'd have a little stab too.
  21. Anyone else think we may see some significant changes on Tuesday? Reckon we may see a bit of ELiasson, Walsh and Kent.
