  1. I would hope LM will be watching too. Give him a chance to run an eye over some players first hand.
  2. It was meant to be a joke. I think it was pretty clear it was you - Just like glasses don't really hide the fact Clark is Superman.
  3. Surely you need a version of the art without the mask/galsses so we can all do our superman/clark kent reaction. Sporeadsheetbot was FEVs all along!
  4. I want to give this a face palm and a laughing response! Sometimes your need to be able to give two reactions!
  5. So you were annoyed that his post with Nahki Wells stats wasn't clearly directed at you, and then he says that his post with Nahki Wells stats was for the whole thread (in a thread about Nahki Wells!) and then you are annoyed because it obviously was directed at you!
  6. I think the point @UncleRedis making is that LM hasn't watched every match and will be working off what he has seen in training.
  7. Need his movement. When we have possession and the players off the ball are way too static. Needs a forward to move the defense around and either find space or make some for other players.
  8. I think the simplest thing to do is take this as the baseline for Manning. Not a great performance, but a point and a clean sheet. No point judging him directly on this in isolation, or trying too hard to compare him to NP. We can use this performance to see what effect he has over the international break. I would expect to see a significant improvement and the beginnings of his style of football. I think from a fan's perspective it's actually a really good opportunity to see what impact he can have.
  9. Pretty awful. Ref isn't helping, blowing up for minimal contact every time - although he at least seems to be consistent with each side. We haven't really got on the ball much in their half, defensively pretty solid though.
  10. Interestingly sounds like he was planning to try and get him on loan for Oxford in January. - https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/liam-manning-transfer-bristol-city-8896998
  11. It's just a photo of Tinnion on his own. At the training ground presumably watching some of the session. No one else in the picture.
  12. I think he just looks focused. Don't think there is anything to see here.
  13. I think it's a bit disingenuous to imply Briain wasn't a big part of Scott's move - he is a big part of the Guernsey link and has cultivated that relationship, which has become even stronger still since Scott moved. It's his relationship with Tony Vance that really had us in a good position to get Scott. Seymenyo as much as I hate to say it is really on Ashton. Hockaday made it clear at the time that there was a lot of interest, but Ashton made it clear if he left it had to be to us. Obviously, neither of them discovered the players, but it's hard to deny they played big roles in them arriving at the club. I think it's hard to be certain what has happened behind the scenes with everything in the last few weeks. And we don't know exactly what Tinnions role involves Technical Director can mean many things in football. It could easily be that he is responsible for managing the exit and arrival of managers/coaches - in which case if instructed to move NP on and bring in Manning he would literally be doing his job, wouldn't really make him a snake. Now if that were the case he clearly didn't do a good job of the optics and communication, but he wouldn't really have a choice on if it happened or not.
  14. I think he looks like the old Oxford manager.
  15. I on this youtube link - have to skip a few minutes ahead.
  16. Does anyone know an email for his agent or a contact? Would like to email/message him thanks for what he did for us, the same as I did for NP. (do they have the same agent?)
  17. Just started watching the press conference, maybe another reason we got Manning is that he brought his own mike stand and we could stop having someone holding a microphone in front of the manager by hand!
  18. To be fair it would be a hard thing to clarify. 7th can be achieved in many ways. Suppose we are playing scrappy football, scrapping draws and the wins here and there and finish several points adrift of 6th in 7th place. That is very different from, having a bad start whilst the team adapts and then finding it's footing/understanding his tactics and winning most games on the run-in whilst playing exciting football and missing out on 6th by a 1 point. Either of those could happen and anything in between, it's a difficult one to explain upfront. I can see why people are making the comparisons with LJ, but I think Manning seems like a coach who has a style of play that he doesn't tinker with all the time. I actually think LJ is a good coach and was good at managing us up until he started to believe his own hype (for me that was after Man U win) - then it was an ego trip for him, he started talking about outwitting the other manager more and more. He lost sight of having a defined system and style and made it about his ego and his battle with the other manager, rather than about the team. Manning has (from what I have been reading) a set style and whilst he can be a little flexible with the overall formation that style and identity doesn't change.
  19. Further down in the comments people ask him to clarify and he replies to someone saying "meaning?" - by saying 'losing their manager'
  20. My feed is clearly a minute or two behind. Read this Whilst Wednesday were getting their free kick ready.
  21. Thanks for that. Added it to the OP. I think overall it's a better interview than we've had. Still don't agree with what happened at all, but good to at least have a journalist ask some of the questions we've wanted answers too.
  22. Credit to @Pedrowe who posted this in another thread - just thought people might miss it there and it has a bit more detail + better overall messaging from the club. And full 12 min interview here thanks @Walshy for pointing it out - https://www.itv.com/news/westcountry/2023-11-03/we-want-promotion-this-year-bristol-city-board-on-sacking-nigel-pearson
  23. He's too busy working on his new murder mystery TV show.
  24. Genuine question - if restructured so BCFC owned all the physical assets (Ashton Gate, training ground, etc), could they 'charge' a high rent to all the other clubs for use them? Could it be a loophole if you wanted to put money into the football club? Not saying I would want us to take that risk etc, but could we do that and count that as revenue?
