Told Wife I would treat her to some home made Scotch Eggs today. OMG what a feckin disaster !!! Why do we all think we can cook at Christmas time ?
I think the main problem is that even the best made scotch eggs are absolutely vile things

I thoroughly recommend having a father who's birthday is on Boxing Day, as I do. Therefore, football IS the family activity

There is no situation that can't be improved by Yorkshire puddings.

Mate, some things are more important than football.
Whilst I agree, it's a baby shower.
For my own son's baby shower, I was informed I was not required, and I spent a rather nice weekend in London having a night out and then watching the NFL at the Tottenham Stadium.
Win win for all concerned

Fair enoughski.
I only asked because in your first post you stated that;
'(it's) about a sky fairy that i don't believe in and a rich guy. Definitely doesn't represent me'.
Because I was explaining why I personally think it's an awful national anthem. Though, I would be quite confident in stating that if you replace both "I" and "me" in that post with "the majority of the country", I think it would still be an accurate statement.
(Just my opinion obviously)

Just out of sheer curiosity, what would represent you personally?
It doesn't have to, and shouldn't, represent me personally. It should however represent our country as a whole and not just a filthy-rich unelected head of state, and a non existent deity.

But it is OUR anthem
Is it though? It's just a random pre-existing tune that was chosen, and the words are about a sky fairy who I don't believe in, and a rich guy. Definitely doesn't represent me.

Let's be honest, it's an uninspiring dirge of a national anthem.

I didn't even see the announcement that these were going on sale anytime soon!
That'll teach me for avoiding all club channels after a defeat
Ah well, tickets secured now.

If I can afford it (which is by no means certain) I will always renew.

They have big badges on the City and Bears training grounds, so not sure why they haven't done so on the stadium itself.

Can everyone stop being positive please, it's making me uneasy.

Guess it'll be on the Red Button for Sky Sports customers who don't want to shell out a tenner and pretend they've jumped on their private plane and are currently somewhere less cold.
As this isn't a Saturday 3pm game, there's absolutely no need to fly anywhere on VPN Airways.

I simply load it up on my laptop, and connect it to my TV via HDMI. Works a treat.

Surely they will get picked up on the fact the pitch has 2 different colour temperatures with regards to the lighting and also the massive black spot across the box!?
I would imagine it's in the referee's report. Not sure if anything would come of it though.

So, they build a stand that, despite going through a rigorous design process (), somehow manages to block out the existing floodlights. So, in a panic, they strap on some floodlights to the front of the new stand, which has the joint effect of lighting the first ten yards of the pitch at a level at least twice that of the rest of the pitch, whilst also neglecting to light the area around the penalty spot at all and plunging it in to darkness.
Peak 15ers.

I'm not watching, but did I just read that correctly... There was a round of applause and thanks to the Lansdown family?

Absolutely no problem with the Knight advantage. It really annoys me when refs give the advantage but then pull it back when the team loses the ball. It's either advantage or not.
Not booking him after was absolutely criminal though.
