Absolutely brilliant last night. Loved it. We are becoming a very good side.
agree, brilliant evening! - only doomer was different (or perhaps indifferent) security on the winterstoke car park after the match - gate kept closed far too long - asked security what the problem was and he said there was no problem! - took me an eternity to get out - nothing seemed to move until long after the fans on foot were gone and I was on Coronation Road in less than 5 minutes once I got past KFC so traffic was not the problem!

Is there an issue with the forum? Barely any posts since the match yesterday. At first I thought it was because we only like to post when we have something to moan about, but there's literally been one new topic started since yesterday and barely any more posts in the match day thread
forum been down I think, just got on first time since yesterday morning

In fairness we've been poor second half
We have not exactly been good at all! We are back at with old “we did enough” tired looking and short on effort!

Really good, Ireland pretty badly let down by officials, Dutch gamesmanship ignored and 2nd goal a mile offside - ref no better than the dross we suffer in the championship
-
Why so many end of career players selected? At least 4 of our starters would struggle to get a start in the prem!

Bristol City developing a £25m nest egg must be up there?
The low energy bulb in the incubator dont get warm enough! Steve’s plan failed to hatch when he let the wonder boys fritter away millions - now he don’t care anymore!

To be fair, Pearson has been backed in the final third. He has signed or re-signed Wells, Cornick, Weimann, Sykes and Mehmetti. He also has one very good kid in Conway and one in Bell who he seems to like. Who out of those 7 are currently good enough? Let’s not pretend that this isn’t Pearson’s squad now
the first 2 on your list are not! Mehmetti shows how good he is on every appearance, problem is he is not yet scoring himself and there's rarely a striker positioned to latch onto his crosses or skilled (quick) enough to sink em! Weimann - NP has not played him in the same role he was in when scoring regularly and does not seem the have recovered from the last serious injury.

I answered a similar question in another thread recently and said this -
"In terms of answering this ‘theoretical’ question in the most basic manner, I think the best player to sell to free up wages would be Wells. Not scored a goal in open play for over 20 games, one of our biggest earners and one of older players. If I was playing Champ Manager, I’d sell him and use his wages (plus revenue from Scott sale) to buy 1 strong quick striker to lead the line (Like Afobe, Akpom) and another young specialised centre back"
Wells is not a CF full stop, he is at best an opportunist who sometimes manages to get it right, the current holder of the 9 shirt is not the answer either, his positioning is way off - when we are in possession he quite often looks like he's marking the opposition rather than attacking! Hopefully TC will come back firing on all cylinders!

Good performance, but two points dropped for me. Sykes, Williams and Cornick all failed to take golden chances to win it. Knight looked superb and Naismith’s vision helps.
Wells should have had 3! Sykes MOM for me
Cornick needed to pass it, the angle he had he was never going to score

Yes basically, cos it’s a deflection Wells is offside. If he had a deliberate play he would be onside. Them the rules.
My question answered! Thanks, I thought goal should stand because there was a deflection.

Manager perhaps not being backed? Been there before, just before SL brought in a manager and a CEO whose rivalry did a hatchet job on our finances - SL’s decision and strange control of finances, the supporters are of no importance!

OTIB in a nutshell…
One defeat and suddenly we’re awful.
Fully agree, problem is whichever side of the fence you sit - we were awful! and there’s no one to blame but the current management!

Yep , allocated due to disability, restricted leg movement, can’t keep it for cup games though! Loyalty is a one way street in our club, expected but not reciprocated

Tickets are a joke, first in line at 10am for 2nd round tickets and the seats i wanted were sold! Wtf? How to get that inside line?
-
Very low key! Perhaps club actually reacting to fan criticism - should have been moved on last season, hell of a long time since there was an announcer so derided by the fans!

Agree 100% as did others in the group I was with .
Cornick no better now than when he arrived, Sykes offers so much more and Weimann wasted in midfield - if we don’t need or have a decent centre forward where will the promotion winning goals come from ? I won’t mention the ref either - if I write what I feel is the truth I’ll get banned!

They dig more holes for their reputation than they do for a stand.
Absolutely priceless. Complete and utter laughing stock tinpot shambles.
Sit a police woman on it and you have Barbie

If I get one right I will be amazed - the 3 coming up will get promoted and the 3 coming down will pass them on the way to div1

Works well in principle, and then, a bit like the Church of England (other religions are available) it struggles with the concept of reality, and runs out of steam, usually between Christmas and Easter.
Strange that’s when the pubs are near empty too!

Checking out the latest Bristol city news - Google, OTIB and so on - the only place there’s no new news is the City Website! A little strange considering the investment of the fans in the club!
Departed players still listed as squad members! Does the club need a hand to update the site?

"So it was right that me and my fellow councillor Adele Barnett-Ward - who co-signed the letter raising this issue - write to the secretary of state.”
Not exactly proper English from the royals city council -
Wrong - we lost on one very important point - due to the traditions of the fewers’ off shore ownership they have a bigger tent tally (probably a camel park too, hidden in the dunes)
