  1. If proven that the vote was rigged then how could it be held in Russia

It still could be, apparently those who are found guilty of corruption will obviously have their vote thrown out. Then they will do a 're-count' from the remaining 'legit' members. If the initial legit members majority of votes were for Russia then it will stay in Russia. Likewise Qatar, which is far more likely as they won the vote by an absolute landslide.

  2. Day 1 of a massive investigation...he's gone imo...England 2018 & USA 2022 being muted on Sky news

I can't see Russia having that for one minute. From what I understand they can't do a re-vote or just hand the World cup to someone else though?

  3. Good to hear mate.

All Packman ever needed was a run of games to show what he's all about. Should of been in for Wade long before he was.

He was class last night mate. He just keeps improving.

Last night was one of his best displays in a City shirt. I thought first half we were moving it way too slow, Pack however was spraying the ball around and trying to get us going with quick fast accurate passing.

I honestly think he will do very well in the championship.

  4. Good second half performance last night. Blew them away in the end. Thought we were poor first half, not moving the ball quick enough and Yeovil were hanging in there.

Second half much better and we really showed our class. Great poachers goal from Agard, he worked his ass off all night. Thought Pack was absolutely exceptional again. His passing range & ball retention was first class.

All in all another very professional performance on the road. Love away days. Especially this season!

  5. Which aptly reminds me 10,.. This little club from West Sussex do make some, can we say, bizarre managerial appointments.. Evans was actually the only inspired one even though he was good at getting at people in a rather irritating way; lets be polite about it. Then Gregory.. he was always an odd one for me; pulling a manager out of obscurity and back into management was odd, not to mention the Coppell thing and now this guy who seems to be on his way down the ladder of management.. maybe thats it and that is Crawley's destiny.. downward from here.

On a positive note they do have Marvellous Marvin. In the event he plays today let us just hope that he has a complete mare.

Don't get me started on fat boy Evans Havana. He STILL hasn't been told flares are band in football grounds!! Now you mention it they really do make some bizarre managerial appointments!

Let's hope Marv has a real off day today.

  6. Pack was awful, overhit every pass more than 10 yards in length. He could have come off for Freeman at half time or on 60 minutes and one of Elliott or Smith took the "sit in front of the three man defence and watch the ball sail over your head" role. Bryan was ripe for subbing too, he wasn't producing anything at all - didn't beat his man once.

Wilbraham for JET would have made sense, since all we were doing from 10 minutes in until about 80 minutes in was punting at him. Not his fault, but that really was awful to watch and completely ineffective.

I think the key message was clear from Cotterill's interview - "we knew we had to keep a clean sheet". Why? We were at home against Orient, we won our last two games without a clean sheet. Why set us up to avoid defeat rather than win?

Yes it was a committed and fairly organised performance but there was nothing going forward, no creativity, no movement, just whack it and hope for a flick on. We can bemoan the corner which looked like it should have stood but a fluke like that was our only hope of a goal the way we set up and played. I want to see a City side playing good attacking football at home at least.

Have to agree with the lack of creativity. Was disappointing and seemed as though we set up not to lose. Bryan was hugely disappointing as well. Amazed he stayed on as long as he did as he was an absolute passenger.

  7. Just a quick question, we obviously played better than PV tonight but I was wondering how we played in terms of style? I just read a Port Vale fan calling us a "bunch of hoofball merchants" and having not been at the game I was wondering if this is just sour grapes or an accurate summary of our performance?

    Sour grapes.

We played some great stuff and some of the passing from the likes of JET and Wade Elliott was way above L1.

I'm amazed they have said that after the absolute gutless, unprofessional shambles they were tonight. As bad as I've seen in an awful long time. Shouldn't let that detract from how good we were though. Should have been 10-0 in all honesty!! But no seriously, it was a very polished and fluid display by us.

  8. Could even be JET playing just behind the two strikers.

Personally think JET will be the central striker and will be asked to occupy to centre halfs. Much to people's dislike as being central he won't be chasing full backs towards our box like some want him to.

Paterson on the left and Baldock on the right buzzing around JET is a very dangerous front 3

  9. **** me that was frustrating.

You get those days in football and unfortunately today was one of those days. We did literally everything apart from score.

Good performance and on that evidence and Tuesday night we have more than enough to stay up. Deserved all 3. Reluctantly take a point but it keeps the run going.

Did anyone see the police escort the Swindon fans across the park before the game which nearly sparked a riot? What the hell was going on and why did they take them across there? Madness surely?

  10. Not sure what you mean Chivs.

Some people were rightly questioning Baldock in early January after he'd fluffed numerous gilt-edged chances.  Those criticisms, lets not forget, also came from his Manager and from himself.

Someone dragging up a thread from 8 weeks ago, to prove themselves right and vilify other people's valid opinions, is just egotistical, self-indulgent bull.

I enjoy reading this site for it's frank and open views and it's the first place I come to for general BCFC news.  However, the multitude of "See, I'm right, you're an idiot" posts is becoming incredibly tedious.  Why can't people get back to having a proper debate without resorting to vilifying anyone who doesn't agree with you.

Unfortunately Harry there are many on here who are unable to use the forum for what it's for. I was critical of Baldock's erratic finishing earlier in the campaign. However I don't believe anything I said over stepped the mark and I would like to think that it was constructive points, as I always try and keep to when encouraging debate.

Some didn't like it, namely Monkeh who resorted to calling myself and others 'idiots' for having a difference of opinion or apparently making a scapegoat of him. (imagine being called an idiot by someone who can't even spell MONKEY right  ;)

Of course it's fine for him to constantly slate Flint....

Anyway, there are plenty with double standards on this forum. I think anyone with an ounce of intelligence will understand that on a forum that is meant to be used to discuss football and debate opinions, there will always be those that don't share that opinion or believe their one to always be right.

Morale of the story....If you can't handle people having a different opinion either don't come on here or try to actually have a reasoned debate about it. Some of the self indulgent ******* as you would say, just haven't got it in them to do it.

  11. A lot of self-indulgent w..kers on here too!

You're not allowed to have had an opinion on Baldock missing chances (like any fan would).

You see Harry, Monkeh fancies him and gets a bit touchy about it all.
