  1. Congrats to Massengo who came on for the last 8 minutes to make his French under-21 debut. England were already 3-0 up when he came on. He did his usual passing around but looked bright, at times felt his team mates were reluctant to pass to him right away.
  2. Thanks for sharing the link. Interesting he spent 3 months with Arsenal then ended up at St Albans then Woking! Surprised he only played 297 games throughout his career, but he was mostly brilliant in his 5 years at City.
  3. Today was City's 7th league victory this season by a margin of +2 goals, in comparison to last season where City only did this twice (in the last 3 games no less).
  4. Not good news if James cannot recover in time. Omar Taylor-Clarke ready to start in his absence?
  5. Fantastic signing, looking to see him flourish with every game he plays at this level. Gutted he's cup tied on Tuesday.
  6. There was an announcement over the tannoy and photo on the big screen probably about 2.50pm, was a good round of applause at this time which felt fitting.
  7. Recall especially the hard work and passion he showed with the Ashton Vale project. RIP Colin.
  8. Gutted for Rob after forcing himself back in. Hope he recovers well in good time. Time for Kalas to step up and show his worth.
  9. No.22 was excellent, I agree. https://www.wigantoday.net/sport/football/wigan-athletic-boss-relaxed-on-christ-tiehi-signing-situation-3979803 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ_Tiéhi Interesting career path so far, with stints in France, English non-league and Czech Republic. Seems Toure was the pulling factor with the Wigan move. Above article indicates a £800k permanent deal if Wigan survive the drop, based on what I saw, that looks a good fee to me.
  10. Touching tribute, credit to City and the players and staff who made it an memorable moment. I think Baker was quite emotional and didn’t want the limelight by being on the microphone. All the best for the future, Nathan.
  11. https://www.bristolbearsrugby.com/news/bears-set-for-historic-south-africa-xv-clash/ Hmm.
  12. Just realised the South Africa side for next week's game is an 'A' side, with South Africa playing Italy on the Saturday. Little sneaky their promoted and charged significant fees for potentially a mixed side of seniors and development players?
  13. Get in! Williams first City goal. Hope he can score a few more.
  14. Bad news. https://www.pnefc.net/news/2022/october/match-preview-bristol-city-a/ Stroud now in charge of the whistle.
  15. January loan option to a League 2 club or maybe a National League club be better as you can control the loan length with NL teams, I believe?
  16. Yeah, I think you're right. Was the plan to add a tier on each of the end stands to bring it to 42k in the event of the World Cup stadium hosts? Anyway, back to Sunderland, well done fans for virtually selling out. Should be a great atmosphere despite some fans being on holidays (that's why I pre-booked my holiday from Sunday's date!).
  17. They survived their first year in the PL, finishing 16th. Finished bottom in their 2nd year. Corberán is doing a fantastic job there, surprised Leeds didn't try for him.
  18. Truly devastating news. RIP Shane.?
  19. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1983–84_Football_League#Fourth_Division 4th (last automatic spot) in 83-84 Division 4? Edit: oh yes, sorry, promotion to Division 2 in 89-90.
  20. Crazy prices. Barely missed 5-10 home matches in 22 years including all cup home games but cannot justify those prices for this match. Was expecting £15 max for Dolman Central.
