  1. I blame your disappearance from the match chat on our current form you know... Boxing Day rugby? Tell the truth. You were in the queue for the Next sale, bagging that discounted handbag with matching shoes...
  2. For those not going tonight, some of us will be in the chat room having a moan, talking Yoda and discussing general knowledge. All welcome. @Dollymarie @REDOXO @One Team In Keynsham @BoonerNC @Aizoon @Southport Red@leadman
  3. Ah I see. He used to film matches up the Mem and edit it and stick it on YouTube, days after the official highlights had been broadcast. But with the whole banning on videoing on phones during the game, he had to stop.
  4. Afternoon all. I'm going for a 2-2 draw. Pitman will score at some stage. I also think Tammy won't be alone up top tonight. I feel the long awaited Gustav will play with Tommo tucked behind these two in a 4-3-1-2 line up. Will also expect Tomlin to drop back when necessary to create a more traditional 4-4-2.
  5. Tbf I feel bad for poor old Jake. Not only is he quite passionate and knowledgeable (to an extent), he can no longer film his club (which he did for years), he doesn't slag off City all that much (compared to his dad for example) and doesn't spout the usual "we're rich, UWE will be built..." bollocks.
  6. I went to Legoland at the end of October (never again will I go during school holidays!) and whilst queuing for a ride with my son, further back in the queue, is a lad of about 9 or 10 in this season's city shirt. I've never seen a Rovers shirt in a different part of the country. I go to London, and there's a City shirt.
  7. Christmas round your gaff must be enlightening!
  8. I think the reason most people support one team rather than the other is down to family. My old man was city as was his old man. My grandmother on my mum's side was gas but my dad wouldn't have her brainwashing my brother and I. Now my son and my brother's son are also city and my son regularly informs me that 'Rovers are rubbish'. I fully expect in 30 years time when I'm in my 60s and my first grandkids have arrived, they'll also be educated by my son. Being a City fan is in the DNA I think.
  9. I'm obviously south of the river and I know of about 5 gasheads who live this side of town. They openly admit being blue so they get a lot of ribbing and wise cracks from us Teds but they take it in good grace.
  10. Steady on now Tommy lad. I'm a woman and I'm not concurring with some of these daft opinions. FWIW, as @NickJ said, I think SC would have kept us up had the board given him support. He hadn't lost the dressing room but was getting on people's nerves with the stubbornness of his play. I was disappointed with the appointment of LJ. I wanted a big name, someone with experience and a good record. I vaguely remember wanting Moyes. Instead, we got LJ. I felt like he was up and coming but no real success and limited experience. I chose to accept this and support him. Summer comes and with Mark Ashton, they stock the Bristol City trolley with lots for us to talk about. A Euro 16 international, an England under 21 star, skillful players from across the lower leagues both in the UK and Europe, as well as a few seasoned ex prem players. We start the season and do reasonably well. We beat Villa comfortably and drew with Leeds amongst other games. We're in the playoffs. Sadly, we lose form and the goals leak in. LJ changes his mind more often than a whore changes her knickers. Players playing out of position, or not playing to their full ability. Consistency is out the window, apart from the fact that we can't win. People clamouring for LJ's head. I understand. I even agree to an extent. But we can't. We need to keep faith and not rock the boat until the water settles. Get the transfer window out the way and evaluate then. Let's see who comes in/who goes out. Let's see if LJ and MA can pull it out the bag. I really hope they do.
  11. Afternoon all. I'm feeling a 1-1 draw today. That or a 2-1 Wolfy win. Will Scrumpy take on Wolfy? Only time will tell...
  12. What? You mean there actually wasn't 40,000 loyal gas locked out of Wembley? Someone call Stocky. Tell him to ring his editor to get the front page halted.
  13. You've obviously forgotten about the 40,000 loyal gas who were locked out of Wembley in May 2015... tut tut
  14. You forgot the "how to stitch hole in't flat cap in 5 easy steps", "t'birth of 'ovis" and "field of't week for walking t'whippet".
  15. Morning Hav. Hope you're well. I'm thinking a 1-1 draw today... Tomlin to score.
  16. Your comment about Neymar reminded me about this... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=761259334028186&id=250166621804129 Warning: NSFW!
  17. Rovers fined £3000 by EFL for not fielding a strong enough team in the CheckATrade trophy. Best open the wallet Wally. http://mobile.efl.com//news/article/2016/efl-checkatrade-trophy-update-3419509.aspx
