And this is exactly why I can't take anyone seriously when they compare players from the 60s to players today. The memory of them might be great but the game has evolved so much that an average player from today would have been a world-beater back then.

To be fair to them they probably had a fry up, 10 pints and smoked 20 cigarettes before the game.

I hope, that when Scott moves on we do ‘something’ as a recognition / gesture of thanks to the set up in Guernsey

Some investment in facilities , youth football etc

A small piece of any fee would be a great gesture , and the right one IMHO

    Im sure SL would approve

    Maybe retire his shirt number?

The problem at United run deep, and while the owners are shit, they aren't the route course of the problem,

Poor transfer policy is, or more to the point lack of transfer policy,

Take Ronaldo, great player but he doesn't fit in at United he doesn't work hard enough,

Take the midfield, they have too many similar players and not enough battlers,

They've spent loads on players, funded provided to them by the owners, they just haven't spent well

I think its well know that the owners have provided nothing but have taken billions out of the club

Overheard an amusing  conversation in the barbers earlier.

Firstly the owner Dave is a die hard gas head, a season ticket holder and while I was waiting for the other chair he was chirping about their 4-0 win at Burton and Citys home defeat on Saturday…..what made it amusing that two other customers, also gasheads were joining in both unaware that I’m a City fan.

They reckoned that Pearson is too ‘downbeat’ and comes across on RB as a miserable sod………:cool2:. They started moaning about the pasties at the Mem which were sold out by 2:15pm as was the bottled water. Dave then asked for tap water and was charged £2! claiming that it was filtered! Not surprisingly he refused to pay up telling them that they can’t charge for tap water even if it was filtered…………………:cool2:

Apparently according to them City won’t get anywhere with Nige in charge and that Lansdown should appoint a ‘proper manager’. Then they started accusing SL of nepotism and reckoned that Jon Lansdown “doesn’t have a personality”……….

The conversation continued whist I was in the chair and as I paid up I rolled up the sleeve of my T shirt and showed them all my City tattoo……….

Fact is - football fans are all the same regardless of which club they support and the Rovers dustbin thread on here kinda proves that………….

And all the silent City fans in there stood up and cheered and gave you a high five?

Shouldn’t have too much of an impact.  In my sons under 11s games I witness 1-2 headers every game, mostly from corners.  Corners will have to be delivered low.  No kids that age are heading big kicks from the keeper as they don’t know how, having never practised it. They are trying to control it, with varying degrees of success!  Most teams play out from the back anyway

I'd question the coaching if the keeper is punting it long at those ages.

Definitely the better team and should have wrapped this tie up already. But Real have a habit this season of pulling off unexpected comebacks, so who knows.

    Could be a classic.

    What's the lottery numbers?
