I can’t believe Mainz sacked him after what he’s done there. Would be better than any candidate I’ve seen mentioned and for that reason we won’t even try to appoint him. Doubt Tinnion has even heard of him!

Probably because they’ve gone 14 games without a win.

Not saying he’s bad but he left on mutual consent.

    Not Frank Lampard?

    Who then ?

Think the clue was why Radio Bristol interviewed Liam Manning, but I am normally wrong on these things. Just thought it strange to end the show on that interview.

Correct. but the lounge is booked for filming

    Cheers.

I did get a feeling something maybe happening this week, when Fleming said he can go out on a 100% record now.

Yes, could be. But don't think Williams is of interest.

Just seen Phantom said on FL thread that there is an announcement on Monday, are you in the same boat that it’s happening soon?

I dunno. He’s had 3 free kicks in similar positions in the last few games and he’s hit them straight at the keeper.
It’s something we severely lack - someone who is capable of scoring from a free kick - is Tomlin the last one??

Think those ones were a bit further out than the one today and last one TC took also.

Probably. I think he also mentioned that it was unusual for clubs to give that amount of time off to players, suggesting we were an outlier. So he (or someone else) had obviously done some research.

Assuming he is correct that the players got 10 days off (and I believe this is true) then that means they didn't train from 8th Oct - 17th Oct, and so only returned to training on the Wednesday before the Coventry game.

I'm no expert but that does feel like you're risking going into the Coventry game a bit undercooked.

And the Coventry game, we looked unfit and out of sorts.

    Top 10 budget I doubt.

Top 10 revenue I can believe, but top 10 budget I doubt.

I think we were tight to the wire with FFP had Scott stayed, post a sale well clear.

Yep I agree, but we’ve not got another Scott, at the moment to clear us more to buy and stay within. I’m not going to argue with you as you’re a lot more intelligent on finances than me. I’m not equipped to run the finances in my house.

At this stage we're only going to hear of those not on the list as the club will only say "no" to names, and simply not comment (privately) on names that it could be.

On my NOT list so far I have Williams,Rowett, Robins and Eustace. And thats it.

Could be anyone else, but as the days go by it would suggest to me its someone in work, and someone that hasn't been mentioned/linked at all by the media, as they'll be holding the name back to keep good relations with the club.

    Schumacher?

Yes they are, what difference it’ll make remains to be seen though. I’m not much of a rugby fan so no idea how much the sport is growing in the States etc.

If it’s growing that much perhaps it’ll be the other way around and the rugby will be what the next owners are interested in.

I just think selling it all must really shorten the list of potential buyers

I doubt very much, there is much rugby over there. Let’s be honest they call football soccer and have a World Series that includes them and that’s it I think.
They just want to think they should have a free entry I guess.

I can see a foreign investor being interested in everything bar the rugby club, rugby’s not really a thing in many countries like the USA or the middle east.

If that’s possible and where it would leave them I don’t know.

They ought to get on board with Rugby soon, the yanks are hosting it in 8 years time.

Kin unbelievable didn't realise it had become a parody show.

Next time I'll drink 14 cans of Scrumpy Jack call myself Natch and shout the names of random old City players down the phone, for a guaranteed appearance.

So you don’t want Warnock then 😉

  12. I want Nige to stay, but I was talking to my brother about this and he said maybe there’s more to Nige’s health than we all know. We know or was told it was skeletal back issues. Now it’s rumoured to be neurological issues (maybe someone can confirm this) , which are a lot more difficult to fix.
For all we know the suits maybe seeing out this issue before confirming he stays or goes the end of the season, hence the silence.
