  1. The more I think about it there has to be a valid reason for it. How do you make that many billions without knowing a thing or two about customer service? Then there’s the shareholder thing, don’t they have to be told first? Other than a takeover, what other feasible reasons could there be. “We like having Nigel as our spokesperson”?
  2. Great assessment by the OP here. Always thought Naismith is great going fwd but prone to the mother of all **** ups. I’m not against selecting positive-minded players but without someone like Zak to mop up the shite we are in trouble. Hopefully big Dickie just needs games to get up to Zak’s standards but thought he looked pretty soft for their 3rd as well. There was possibly some giving up in there which is unacceptable.
  3. I like him. One of the old guard and a northerner but “nowt” wrong with either. He was clearly disturbed by Vardys antics after scoring today until the commentator informed him that Vardy winds up all the away fans so not singling out us. Tactically he seems to know his stuff and yeah, passionate about City and seems like a legitimate fan
  4. Yep back on now. Hopefully it stays on
  5. Don’t refresh, you might lose it!
  6. Robins tv in and out. Currently got the not broadcasting message. Came on for two mins just now and went off again. It was 0-0 then. The app isn’t even giving me the option to watch or listen
  7. What happened for Knights disallowed goal? Im watching on rtv, saw all eight of the replays and still can’t see what the commentators were talking about. other than that we just have to keep doing what we’re doing
  8. Where can I get one of the brown t-shirts that the coaching staff are wearing?
  9. Thought we were decent. Need to start learning how to build on it. Good bouncebackability under Nige though. Had it not been for their 1 on 1 with Max, I’d have said we deserved to win. Need to finish our dinner. Bring on Norwich
  10. At club level it’s a supply and demand as well as a financial sustainability issue. If City were “forced” to pay the women’s team the same as the men’s, wouldn’t it open a whole new can of worms regarding FFP. Is there FFP in the women’s game? Also, the men’s team would no doubt be in worse financial constraints than it already is if the guy that keeps us afloat season upon season suddenly has to fork out for equal pay. Personally I think the answer is to invest more in the women’s game, grass roots, marketing of matches, more crossover between the men’s game and women’s game for coaches will help too. This will help “create” the demand for the women’s game and allow pay to grow organically. For me the women’s game still has lots of catching up to do but that’s not to say it will never be the same. The men’s game has had 150 years to perfect itself.
  11. I’ll start the bidding at none
  12. Even first half until we fell asleep in injury time. Sluggish 2nd half. Agree on the LJ shout. Shitty, chippy, half-hearted, weak crosses into the box have never floated my boat and are a piece of cake to defend. Controversial I know but I’m not sold at all on Sam Bell but I acknowledge he needs games. No complaints with the second yellow. Need to take a long hard look at themselves. Could be worse mind, I didn’t even know Cambridge were in the football league.
  13. Despite being seemingly outplayed in terms of possession in the first half, I thought we had more clear cut chances and should have been at least 1 nil up at half time. After going 1-up in the 2nd we were inevitably on the back foot a little. On the balance of things though I think a draw was a fair result. Vyner, James, Knight, Bell would be first names on the team sheet next week for me.
  14. cant believe there’s nothing under proposal that says “temporary” that’ll be one of many Planning Dept. review comments I’m sure. Huge difference in the world of planning between temporary and permanent.
  15. Pardon my ignorance but where are they going?
  16. It has to be £25m plus in my opinion. It’s ridiculous money but I believe he could be the difference between achieving playoffs and not. That therefore means he could be the difference between promotion and not. That would get us more than £25m and Alex would be a Prem player. I’d be rubbish at this game. If I were SL I’d be saying do you know what “**** it, he’s not for sale and we’re going for it this season.” Just imagine the positivity around the place if he’s still our player when the window slams shut.
  17. Naismith is a great carrier of the ball through opposition midfield.
  18. This smells like sustainability to me. Thanks JB and all the best at Miiiiiiiiiiiiiill, except when we need you to lose of course.
  19. As a kid growing up Dad and I had season tickets in both the Dolman and Williams. One of the things that used to stand out and irritate a little was the amount of moaning in the Dolman. It occurred in the Williams too but not as much it seemed. I’ve always assumed thats where Dolman got its infamous nickname from. Way more negativity than what we witnessed in our time in the Williams. I’d have to dig deep to figure out where we were sat during which seasons, so it maybe be an unfair comparison as quantity of moaning is proportional to success on the field. But it was effing relentless. My seasons in the East End, Atyeo and S82 really helped restore faith in our support. I think it’s habitual and if you followed the club through thick and thin post 82, I guess it can be forgiven. I also think it’s fair to say that more season tickets were sold in the Dolman than they were in Williams back then, and to folk that had been sat there for years and years it seemed. I’m not saying I never ever moaned at a player but as I grew older I realised how important we are as the 12th man and getting on players backs during the 90 minutes I cannot condone. No matter how shit we are or they are. That’s what places like this are for.
  20. Have a feeling Everton will beat Spurs tonight and drag Wolves into the mix, who’s remaining fixtures do not look easy.
  21. Interesting post this. I would have him back. Wonder if we can offer potential coaching opportunities as an incentive, to nudge up his wages a bit and make his signature more viable to the accountants. Cam and Anis could learn a lot from our Joe. More likely if/when JD goes in summer. “….against the gas he scores a goal, Joey, Joey Bryan!”
