Great read as always, Havana; ta.
Fancy a point from today's game; four in a week from two promotion favourites would be great work.
-
17 shots, 11 on target, compared to Leeds' 7 and 3 makes you wonder if our seeming desperation for a new striker isn't so bonkers after all.
Mind you; delighted for Agard tonight. Took a step down to join us last year, worked his arse off, and now gets his chance - cannot see him not starting now; need his energy.
-
Agard goal, Reid assist.
Glad the fans have something to cheer.
-
An attacking line up, whichever way you splice it.
Don't know enough about Leeds' attacking options nor midfield to know if this line up will have enough steel to hold them, but hope that both Pack and Smith sit back to give Robinson the licence to range forward.
Only prediction from me is that both teams will score, and Kodjia will get one for us again.

Unlucky guys... as a Brentford fan I just want to say I think we were fortunate again today. You guys will be fine this season and I will be following you and hoping you do well
Sounds like you've the nucleus of a decent team there, despite the reservations you mentioned earlier.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

Will be interesting to say the least if SC comes out and says he's just broken out transfer record to bring in Gayle (do NOT think it likely btw) post-game, when this week three of our strikers have scored, yet we've shipped nearly double figures in three games.
Think we really need to be moving for targets now; just the two weeks left to sort things.
-
Well, realise this result is slightly skewed by the fact we got a man sent early on, but think if we ever needed reinforcements, that time is now.
-
Attacking substitutions - here's to Robinson impressing again.
-
Be good to get a draw here, but if the sending off is as bad as reported, we've been playing against the ref all match, which is always a tricky situation to be in.
-
No changes at h/t.

As long as you score more! And you guys are full of goals.. you'll be fine this season, and will probably finish well above us
Be interesting to see this second half; think we'll both learn a lot about the character of our teams/managers in the next 45.
-
Yep our defence is all over the place at the moment... our record CB signing (the unfortunately-named Bjelland) played one game for us and is out for the season; the curse of the new Brentford signing continues. Josh McEachran also broke his foot before even making his debut for us.. It's a Brentford tradition.
Good luck to you guys this season; I'll be following you and hope you are successful
To be fair; as my fellow Red's pointed out, we've only conceded one less, so we're just as crap at the back!
-
Make no mistake that could have been 4-0 at one point. We had Brentford in a right state. Trouble is we look nervous at the back every time they attack.
Special mention for the ref who's been appalling all game. The Freeman red card the highlight where it looked like an unfortunate clash that was purely accidental.
#26 for Brentford should be playing for Swindon
Cheers for that Tomarse.
Might be hard to call, but think there is any chance we can get more than a point from this? Or more likely they'll turn the screw now?
-
Uhh hum, how many have we conceded?
Too many, but less than them.
Am going to fix myself a drink, and cling to the fact we were 2-2 at half time in our last home game, and that turned out alright...
-
And we've conceded 7...
Yes, this is quite true...
-
Fair to say Brentford's defence is crap; that's eight goals conceded in two and a half games.
Hope we look at this at h/t and feel we can get something more out of this.

Batten down the hatches; flood the midfield; leave Bryan, Fredericks and Kodjia to break on them.
-
Top man Samo ||, cheers. Out of the country ATM so can't even listen to the radio...
No bother - am watching on red button, but phone convo made me miss the other two; will post when they mention us/goals//incidents etc.
-
Can anyone on here elaborate on the goals? Stuck with bbc text comm...... Also was their goal caused by an error by hamer?
BBC just said Wilbraham nodded in a corner from Pack after drawing an excellent save from the Brentford keeper - also mentioned we are "well on top" and that Brentford look shaky.
-
Fantastic view from the South Stand. A massive change from the Atyeo.
Beautiful - Thanks for sharing, 86! COYR!

#BristolCity v Brentford: Hamer, Ayling, Flint, Williams, Fredericks, Smith, Pack, Freeman, Bryan, Wilbraham, Kodjia.
#BristolCity subs: O'Leary, El-Abd, Little, Wagstaff, Robinson, Burns, Agard.
Great to see Bryan back in the side.

Cheers, Havana; nice write up - Cannot wait for kick off!

I'd agree; as I've said before, I think Pack is being asked to play a role that needs someone alongside him who's singular focus is to break up opposition play, freeing him up to link with Freeman, and yesterday I felt Smith went past him and didn't stick to this task enough. Thanks citywest.
Samo, as said mate, I couldn't quite believe how many poor comments there were. In fact, I tried to 'multi-quote' them but it exceeded the allowable limit, hence I had to copy/paste them instead!!
As I think we all agree, it was a poor showing from pretty much the whole team aside from Flint & Burns. No one should be singled out from it.
Across the first ten games or so we'll get a better idea of how and who in the team will make the grade; one game is of course too few.
