No chance are you getting down to Bournemouth in a coach, on a busy morning, in 2 hours. Of course people wake up early to go to work but it’s hardly giving the youngster the chance to properly prepare for games when you’re getting them out of bed at the crack of dawn.

No, the connecting train for these tickets is Paddington to EB. Just a quirk of the system.

Same train but with it just being Parkway to Paddington is now £70. You have to exit the main gates at Paddington to get to Ealing Broadway.

Always enjoyed it in there, not something I’d want to do every game but still a good day out. Decent food and a decent atmosphere in there.

Won’t be getting a beer in Cardiff that’s for sure. Possibility of stopping off in Newport on the way but that can be hit or miss as well.

You can only pick sections of seats for away games rather than picking exact seats, ie for QPR the options to select will be UT Gold Normal/Silver Normal/Rail Seating. Lower Tier seats are probably best for taking a young un. However, QPR is one where the majority of people will stand up for the entirety of the game, which is something to keep in mind. That said we’ve took the kids before and managed to squeeze them in at the bottom row.
