Thing is when he kicks it wide it's always going to be long rather than short with the chance of their wide player picking it up and exposing our defence. Although it looks shit and gives position away i can see why we don't pump it up the middle, loose the ball and they have the width of the pitch to attack. Much better to concede a throw halfway line then get the opposition to try and break us down from there.

I was there for the Stoke game and somewhat older than you so saw some good players as far back as mid60s. Have been racking my brain to find a better or at least the same level player as Scott. He's the best iv seen in a City shirt. The only ones that come anywhere near for all round ability were Merrick and Collier, both defenders of coarse and seasoned players by the time City were at there peak. Scott out on his own at this age for sure.

To be fair i only relaxed when the clock hit 85.

Haven't read the thread yet, i thought every player done his job today in a very professional team performance. Great atmosphere, and you see the confidence using out of Bell, superb finishes. Scott what can you say? The boy has it all.
