  1. The pass for the goal was excellent. 2nd half there was nothing remotely as well executed.
  2. Well that didn't happen, did it! Nice idea, terrible execution!
  3. True. Best way to protect a lead is to keep the ball though, surely, not hoof it and chase.
  4. Swindon played all the football certainly 2nd half.
  5. Swindon's forwards infinitely superior in terms of technique in tight spaces and being able to beat a man. Lots of effort from ours and being able to run fast in a straight line (wow!) but that was it. Yeboah's hold up play is non existent, even at this level, although our crude style ofbplay didn't help. He had an appalling touch immediately before passing to set up the goal - a touch that would have seen us lose possession at first team level. His best contribution was winning a free kick outside our box on 85 mins when we were under the cosh which says it all. The lad has an excellent attitude which gives him half a chance but he's miles off first team football. The lad who came on at centre forward for Swindon looked twice the player in the brief time he was on the pitch. Morrison and Nelson are, at this stage, just quick. So which game were you watching? Duncan, Anderson, Slowey and Meerholz are the ones to keep an eye on. Imo.
  6. A very Pearson win, without wishing to derail the thread - outplayed but no guts, no glory. And one or two who have a chance of better things by the looks of it. Interestingly, none being the forwards our technical director creams himself over. Imo.
  7. It's all about behaviours, after all.
  8. Brilliant from Meerholz. Forwards asleep.
  9. Why? There's no-one who's remotely ready for first team football.
  10. That Left Back has no future here - what happened to backwards and sideways?
  11. Indeed. Made a good go of it, has McCrorie, after a very unfortunate start. What concerns me, though, is the fact that Liam Manning's preferred system - according to posters here who are familiar with his career so far - is for 3 CBs + Wing backs + 2 deep lying Xavis + a No.10 + a lone striker. So the person/persons responsible for deciding Liam Manning was the man best suited to coach our current squad is/are deluded or dense. Immensely dense. Or prepared to spend millions of pounds reconfiguring our squad. And that takes time, ie seasons. So yet again, we are promised jam tomorrow. Never mind the fact, we have yet another novice Coach foisted upon us by the owner which also requires supporters to have the patience of Job.
  12. "Visionary"? I stopped reading right there. Agree with the overall sentiment, based on the thread title.
  13. Because it's all been said already.
  14. A dogmatic coach who's allowing "principles" and "behaviours" to get in the way of winning football matches? Good heavens.
  15. Yep, absolutely. He's already recorded on the club's own social media output as telling players "I've told you already...". At which point, there's the distinct possibility a few of them were thinking "who the heck are you". The worse results are, the more likely this reaction. It's why we're getting rid of lots of experienced players and replacing them in the summer with teenagers from Aldershot, Ireland and who knows what other minor leagues. Which is exactly where we'll end up if Tinnion and puppet Manning remain in charge long enough.
  16. No he didn't. It was just my play on words!
  17. Yep he was expected to somehow make a silk purse out of a sow's ear and was doing a steady, if unspectacular job of it. We were in safe hands, looking upwards. Now replaced by a bloke who's undoing all his good work and making a complete pig's ear of it. And ee are now in danger of a Holden-esque free fall downwards.
  18. Just f uc k off you ignorant BS ncut. You think you or your employers know what a proper manager looks like? F uc k off.
  19. Manning won't be sacked. Unless it gets much, much worse. Yes - much, much worse! And by then, it might be too late anyway.
