This weekend sees Bristol City’s double header Her Game Too fixtures. Her Game Too is an organisation set up by female football fans in May 2021 to raise awareness to sexism within football - and increase opportunities for girls and women getting involved in the game. Two of the founders, myself and Leah, are Bristol City fans, so it’s really special to have our beloved team involved and so incredibly supportive. Her Game Too has partnered with over 70 clubs across the Premier League and EFL - as well as clubs in Scotland, Wales, France and Greece. Clubs are encouraged to showcase their partnership with Her Game Too around International Women’s Day (8th March) hence this month being a busy period for us - organising over 50 dedicated fixtures.
City have been brilliant supporters since our launch in May 2021, and this season is no exception. It sees our third dedicated fixture - and we have been closely working with the club to plan activations to highlight the positive work going on. They have kindly donated 50 complimentary tickets for the Bristol City/Brighton women’s game this Sunday - which have been distributed to partner charities and grassroots clubs - seeing some women and girls attending their first ever football match. We’ve also been offered discount codes - CARDIFF15HGT 15% off - HGTBHA50 50% off - to help increase the already fanatic attendances for the women’s game - and to encourage girls and women to attend the men’s game with their families. Branding will be visible throughout the game - including warm up tees, graphics throughout the game and reporting posters.
Part of the partnership agreement includes ensuring clubs have reporting systems in place, where fans can feel comfortable reporting an incident should they experience or see something. We work closely with clubs, the premier league, EFL, White ribbon, the police and other external organisations to support fans who have reported a range of unacceptable experiences - ranging from anything from targeted chanting to sexual assault. Some of the negative reports we deal with can be tricky to digest, but reinforces why we do the work we do, and motivates us to keep going to get to a point where the reporting system can be redundant.
We like to focus on the positives around International Women’s Day and will continue to encourage women and girls that there is a place for everyone in the game. The theme this year is ‘inspire inclusion’ - so we intend to flood social media with positive imagery of fixtures and tournaments of women and girls enjoying football!
There’s still a way to go in terms of ensuring women and girls can access the sport without feeling they have to justify it - or work that ‘extra bit harder’ just to be seen. If anyone has any direct queries and reservations about particular individuals or situations, we encourage people to speak to the team as we are very transparent about some of the (many) hurdles we have faced along the way.
The support we have received so far is overwhelming - so thank you! Please feel free to share photos from the fixtures on socials and do tag us in them (@hergametoo) which in turn will help to reinforce and share our underlining message - football is for all!
Good luck ladies my wife who is smart enough to avoid places like this, introduced me to Bristol City 15 years ago ... what she doesn't know about this club isn't worth knowing. City born and bred, and probably loves the club more than she loves me. (Definately)
Keep going and **** the knobheads trying to be funny with their Joey Barton memes, proper divs.

Does anyone really want to watch any more of this for another season?
We should just do a Sunderland and hold our hands up and say we ****** up, there's a crumb of dignity in that.
If we double down on this to try and save face by giving manning a load of coin ... well that movie won't end well.
Manning didn't deserve this job.

Surely everyone knows Pearson wasn't saked due to the football. That was a lie.
Manning won't be held to the same standards, he'll be here for a while. Unfortunately.

If you’ve got a Bristol sport account then tickets can be transferred. They just have to link their account with yours using your account number and then transfer the tickets for that game to you .
Thanks matt

Is it possible to buy a ticket off a ST holder in S24/25 or does the digital thing make transferring tickets impossible.
Not been since the digital switch so not sure how it works in practical terms.

This game is absolute toilet. Relegate the pair of then.

Steve- Time to sell and leave.
The club has lost half a million pound a week, every week, for the last 10 years.
I very much doubt there is a huge queue of people that desperate to lose their wealth, at such a spectacular pace.

So let's get this right ..
VAR tells the ref he made a mistake not to give a red card for seriousfoul play, so he looks at it pitchside (many, many, times) then agreeds he made an error so changes his decision to red card.
Then it's appealed and overturned, the FA now saying the ref made a mistake in sending the player off, despite not giving a red card initially and being correct in the first place.
VAR is a shambles, officiating is at rock bottom.

My son and I support Bristol City and Southampton, but are Southampton fans first. He's 10, and I don't want to sit with the away fans.... because away fans can be a bit extra.
I thought I'd get us family stand tickets, but wondered if it could cause trouble if he accidentally lets out a cheer at a Saints goal?
Southampton fans in my experience are not that 'extra' Your kid is ten, fighting age. Let him throw some hands, character building.

Going to Watford to watch Bristol City lose seems pretty boring ngl. Have fun though, let us know how you get on.

This squad is so boring. No stars, no flair players, barely watchable.
It's terrifying that the powers that be genuinely believe this team is capable of promotion.
The young players are raw, the senior players are washed, and the manager is already losing the battle with his hairline.
Club needs a fresh start and new leadership/ownership, until then I have absolutely no interest in coming back.

I disagree, it’s the top four or five positions in the club where we are absolute ass. Below that on the football side we are an honest bunch lacking know how and quality.
A lack of know how and quality is ass IMO. Being an honest bunch isn't really a complement is it

From top to bottom this club is absolute ass

It's almost as if the whole reasoning behind Pearsons dismissal was complete bullshit, but no-one bought that guff in the first place.
I'd have way more respect for Lansdown if he just said he didn't get on with the man and didn't want him here anymore instead of just lying.
