  1. 1 million percent. 2 champions league winning managers didn't even get there teams to the QF stage. It might sound crazy, but Harry Redknapp is better suited to this game than a klopp/pep ... these players don't need coaching they need managing. Howe will manage England at some point though, its inevitable.
  2. This is it. There are no exciting English options, don't want foreign either. Copper absolutely not, Potter - yes but he's a young coach this is too early for him. Howe, yes please but he's currently managing one of the richest clubs in the world, and doing a stellar job so england isn't attractive. Then we're talking about the Parker's, Gerrard's of the world ... get to **** Stick for me, when you look at the options the FA should be BEGGING him to stay, double down on Gareth IMHO
  3. What I like about this england team is they seem so relaxed, no crazy media stuff following them around, no front page scandals like we've seen before. Just a good honest bunch of lads with the world at their feet. Yeah sometimes you get on the wrong end of a scoreline that arguably they don't deserve but that's sport, it's brutal. I'm a firm beliver in southgate and the culture he's built and I really do hope he decides to have another crack ?
  4. It's a real shame because we played really, really well against a fantastic opponent. The pathway was there for a world cup final appearance. Elite sport often comes down to tiny margins and it didn't roll out way this time. This england team are a likeable bunch with great potential, not a time to be upset, the core of this team is really young we'll be back. I'd build around bellingham, foden, rice and Saka. Give jude the armband and go get that next euros.
  5. This is all true but he could coach them better. An argument for another time though. Obviously we have no money to spaff on playing staff and we are still operating with huge losses. Any ambitions outside of just remaining in this league need to be seriously tempered, however just "remaining" in the championship is not sustainable without the yearly bailout by SL. The club probably needs to start looking at alternate investment if the club is to progress.
  6. At least next season we get to have punch-ups with the Gas so every cloud
  7. Shame this. The "behind the scenes" noise has been very minimal since he took the post. Clearly a safe pair of hands. Good luck to him, need another Gould and not another Ashton taking the reigns.
  8. Do you even get to choose your seat when you buy an away ticket?
  9. Stop spitting facts @harry this is otib ... you must be new here ?
  10. No worries @ExiledAjax Martin does some great work digging up the grim underbelly of football finance. This particular deal is particularly horrible because it "looks" like greedy white men pyramid selling to very low income West Africans. Now the cat is out of the bag it's only a matter of time before Fulham cut ties. Other good journalists in this space worth following are
  11. Some generous scoring on the player ratings. DaSilva and HNM were just shocking Klose must have done something to upset NP for the absolutely dreadful King to start over him. Horrible watch.
  12. Controversial but thatchers orange is amazing
  13. Had a thatchers at spurs for the nfl last year
  14. Well worth a follow. Niche is unearthing the shitty stuff in football. Crypto nonsense, gambling, all the weird stuff that's crept in. Don't know about the former deals, and I'll be honest Dunder just appeared to be a money laundering operation not a bookie.
  15. Some research was done by a journo and he discovered that clubs have a choice whether they accept this money or not. The reason it is zero is apparently AS don't. I doubt every club does the same. I'd like to put that question forward to our club at some point.
  16. The biggest story there is this statement. If football clubs are taking 100% of their fans LOSSES as revenue from accounts registered via team (i.e the team encouraging you to sign up to an account), then that is pretty disgusting imo. And seeing as most supporters I'd guess bet on their own team to win, are the club actively profiting from losing matches? I'd like to know how much money has city made or make from fans loosing bets.
  17. For an old timer like Rannieri (sic) or Hodgson yeah. The FGR chap was making a name for himself so the payoff whilst nice, prob doesn't compensate completely for the career setback. I'm certain he'll want to work again. He might need to go back down a league though.
