  1. I'd be amazed if he turned down a job like Norwich, taken Rovers as far as he can
  2. Could see it happening, done a fantastic job for Rovers, amazed he hasn't been picked up already
  3. So Brownhill and Matthews have come and gone, where the hell are the goals going to come from in that team, a severe lack of pace, a kid with a couple of senior games behind him thrown in at full-back in the cauldron that is St. Jame's Park, another 6 changes, when the hell is he going to know his best 11?
  4. Probably the same coach load of over-weight over-50 idiots that travel to most of their away games, they're a sad bunch of losers who were used to getting chased everywhere 30 years ago and are now trying make a name for themselves :-)
  5. The usual under-handness at BRFC, it's always been the same, no-one has a clue what is going on bar the few on the inside, how your mob continue to put with the lies and the drip-drip of information never fails to amuse, remind me, when is the latest date for the diggers to be moving in?
  6. Spot on with your last paragraph, the thought that if you go up you will bounce straight back down is nonsense, makes a change to hear a positive gas instead of one talking about stability and just being grateful for where they are, you are showing the ambition of a City fan, does this make you fickle?
  7. Didn't think it was the same game, that Louis Donawa game still send shivers down the spine
  8. The atmosphere for that Louis Donawa game was incredible, the best I've ever experienced at a Derby game, was it the game where loads were locked out, even season ticket holders? Whichever game that was I was one of the ones locked out and hundreds just charged the gates of the Williams and stormed in
  9. A truly gut wrenching defeat, I still have nightmares about that game
  10. Can't keep letting in 2 goals away from home and expecting to win anything, mentally inept at the back, particularly away from home, we've played some crap teams lately and come away with nothing
  11. Take no notice MD, growing up in KW there was no way to get to AG by public transport it was a walk down over the Novers in all weathers yet you could get to Eastville on a bus that travelled through the heart of KW (number 10 I think) and I know someone who decided to follow Rovers for exactly that reason, (he was an oddball mind) that bus was dead handy for the Sunday market at Eastville though
  12. What a load of BS, there are barely a dozen gas in Knowle and I know them all, good lads too but they know their place
  13. As someone who is deep in the heart of South Bristol it fills my heart to hear these tales, I've always been of the the belief that anywhere the other side of the River was at least 50/50 or even a majority of Gas
  14. Can't ever remember Villa on the EE accept for an attempt in the early '80's and they didn't get very far!! Maybe I was a bit too young for the time you're on about
  15. Jill, i know this cracking owl sanctuary
  16. Brum held the middle of the EE, nobody did that when we were in the top flight
  17. It was earlier than '76, maybe we beat them 1-0, remember Francis being some sort of wonder kid at the time and he was only about 17/18
  18. I think Brum was 71/72ish, couldn't move them, think they won 1-0 with a very young Trevor Francis goal, Pompey also immovable round about the same time, no-one else that I can remember came on the EE and stayed in such large numbers as those two
  19. Can't comment on '68 I'm thinking 72ish, 500 Oxford seems a lot and in yellow hard hats!!! Never heard that story before, can anyone enlighten us?
  20. HaHa beat me to it, can't remember Oxford away but I can certainly remember a few Oxford on the East End in one game in the early 70's
  21. Think we played Millwall the week before at AG where there was plenty of trouble hence them turning up at Swindon looking for revenge, I'd say it was '72 or '73
  22. Exactly as I remember it even when they had Millwall helping them out
