Pearson said he's rested as a precaution

Very disappointing news . I was hoping he would be pushing hard for a start in midfield next season . Does it change our recruitment now? Possibly not with the World Cup interrupting the season .
I guess the fortunate thing is it's happened at the end of the season, and not the start of next. Hopefully we'll see him back playing in January.

Frank Lampard “world class”. Dear deary me.
I’ll say he was above average. That’s about it.
I think you're in a very small minority here, but it's a game of opinions I suppose.

Are you really suggesting that a 25 goal per season midfield player was average? Wouldn't like to hear your opinion on our lot then............they'll be lucky to finish up on 25 career goals......between the lot of them!!
Was about to say the same. Calling him an average player is ludicrous, world class in his prime.

The majority of fans on their forum are thinking they're doomed for the drop now.

10million ha ffff off
He plays well everywhere except CB at age 18
If he goes to a club like Leeds he will be sold upwards for £50m - £100m within 2 or 3 years so their bid needs to be at least £20m
With a nice hefty sell on too!

Did anyone see Mitrovic’s goal? Never in a million years did I think it was…but GLT proved it was. Just stick with GLT, bin VAR.
Saw the highlights this morning. I assumed it had come off the post and the ref was blowing up for a foul I hadn't seen in the build up!

I think we will want more than £10m, nobody will offer what we want, and he will still be here next season.
Agreed, I can't see us valuing him at £10m. £15-20m more likely. If we don't make good progress next season then I have no doubt he'll be off next summer.

Only if the ref or lino see it I suppose. We've certainly seen them given.
Would've been given against us I bet!

With VAR that's a penalty I'd say...
For us? I'm not watching or listening

Don't like either of them. But Liverpool do play some nice stuff, as much as it pains me to say it.

He was influential in our promotion season, arguably our best player in that side. He's never set the championship alight that's for sure, but to call him one of the most overrated is a bit ridiculous and disrespectful.

I've voted for our lad, but clearly I am being a bit thick as I don't know what I am supposed to click on the watch any of the goals.
The video loads at the top of the page.

Thought our u23's are a pure reflection of the 1st team, slow, slow and slower with endless iverpassing. By my uncultured eye Barney Soady was very good, Duncan Ideho stuck to his task well, I doubt the rest will make it at championship level
Most of them were in and around the first team so that's probably why!

Back on topic this move really hasn’t worked out for Janneh, not getting off the bench at all in many recent games during Shrewsbury’s excellent run of form, he’s made just 1 start in total, his last 4 sub appearances back to mid Feb have seen him come on in the last few minutes every time.
He’s 22 now & I would not be at all surprised if he’s told this summer he can move on if he can find a club.
Wouldn't surprise me if he ends up back at Torquay, not a bad level of football to kickstart his career.

Could just mean he'll be back fit soon..

This is getting ridiculous now. Parked there for years, plenty of space for cars and buses to get by without being dangerous. What happens in the unlikely event we make it to the premiership one day, it will be a parking nightmare for games!

The worst in my recent memory was when we were languishing near the bottom of league one in 13/14 and grabbed a 4-2 away win at Carlisle prompting the commentator to scream "bristol city are in Dreamland!!!".. What a sobering moment that was!

Same! It's insane
I quite agree. I really want NP to succeed here, but at times we're so painful to watch, and he has to be responsible for at least some of this. That being said, how a group of professional footballers fail to do the absolute basics of defending is beyond me, Dan Bentley must be losing his nut watching the shambles in front of him, the lad has no chance.

Saved you a boo I’ll bet.
I've never booed a city performance, don't agree with it. But I can't have been alone in thinking we wouldn't get anything today, and genuinely happy we won and got the clean sheet? Don't really appreciate a sarky remark like that.

Very glad to turn my phone back on and see that my earlier prediction was wrong! First away clean sheet for a year, very much needed!

Not too confident for today, think it might be a 3-1 loss. I hope he doesn't start both James and Williams again, it clearly didn't work last week, we need an engine in the middle and HNM I'd the only one who fits that bill. Would be nice to see a bit of fight. If HNM isn't going to sign a new deal then I'd like to see benarous given a few games towards the end of the campaign.

If they do come down it will be another club "too big for the championship" and one that "deserves to be in the premier league" Ala villa and leeds.
