  1. I shall fetch my orthopaedic shoes in that case! Apologies @Coombsy
  2. What makes you think that Bristol Rugby have nowhere permanent to play? Are you in some sort of state of denial that City and Bris share Ashton Gate?
  3. You just have to listen to Pat Lam speak and he almost instantly inspires you. He hardly ever mentions rugby, but he talks about community, legacy, engagement, mentoring and how his teams train to win. It's amazing to hear. He could genuinely usher in an absolutely golden age of rugby at Bristol
  4. I said a year or two ago that Bris have the potential to be a giant in their sport. By the time LJs Europa League deadline has expired Bris could quite conceivably be champions of Europe.
  5. Bath I think this weekend up at Cribbs?
  6. The biggest gambler of the lot is Wally. And he's lost.
  7. Makes the Venkys look like solid custodians
  8. http://www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/lam-and-coaching-team-to-host-supporters-qa/ LAM AND COACHING TEAM TO HOST SUPPORTERS Q&A MONDAY, JULY 24TH 2017 The Bristol Rugby coaching team are set to meet supporters in a Q&A evening at Ashton Gate in August. This event is free to attend and will take place in the Lansdown Restaurant. Bristol Rugby kick off the pre-season campaign versus Harlequins at Cleve RFC (Aug 5), before back-to-back friendly fixtures at the Clifton RFC training base versus Bath (Aug 12) and Scarlets (Aug 19). For ticket information, please click here. Questions can be submitted in advance by emailing yours, with your name, to Tom Tainton at ttainton@bristolrugby.co.uk.
  9. Just watched it; pretty bloody inspiring stuff. The season can't start quick enough for me now!
  10. I'd imagine there will be lots of exciting signings if we get an early return
  11. Agree. A BP win every game has to be the target. Whilst the teams we'll be playing against are hardly awe inspiring it will be great to watch the "new" Bristol revolution take shape. Should be a much more exciting and expansive brand of rugby that we've been used to. Bring it on I say!
  12. Luatua was awesome earlier. Great signing.
  13. As Mark Twain famously said "yer, where's me Chips to?"
  14. Thought the 2nd half was much better, Woodward had an absolute Weston though. JFR is a top bloke and will no doubt be in the Atyeo with Joe Joyce as usual tmrw. He will be missed and it was great to see him and Mitch both score on their last outing in the hoops.
  15. Remember it was all ". . . ground, ground, ground and they forgot about the team" that fateful day 3yrs ago. WATTBA
  16. Haven't the Prem shafted Bris enough in the past though?
  17. So Bath lost to Wuss today, eh. Hmmmm.
  18. That's the lottery of the play-offs for you! They've only got a 25% chance of going up
  19. Closing the Atyeo makes sense in any event, as any big crowds if we do stay up can be accommodated in the Upper Lansdown presumably? In the Championship, you could argue that you'd only need the Dolman/South Stand open anyway. It's a great situation to be in really - now that the playoffs have been scrapped - stay up and we have great quality coming in but in the event we go down, it'll be essentially a elongated pre-season ahead of prem rugby the following year. (assuming Hartpury don't put up too much of a challenge)
  20. http://www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/luke-morahan-confirmed-as-clubs-latest-signing/ Another signing confirmed for next season
