  1. Bristol's future is in the prem. a smaller stadium just for them is nonsense.
  2. Not announced yet, but at the very least I'd expect them to be frozen given the likelihood of relegation.
  3. Just seen that the Atyeo will be closed for the rugby next season. No ST renewals in there being offered.
  4. Bristol Rugby team to face Worcester Warriors at Sixways on Sunday, 5 March (3pm KO): 15. Jason Woodward; 14. David Lemi, 13. Will Hurrell, 12. Siale Piutau, 11. Tom Varndell; 10. Gavin Henson, 9. Alby Mathewson; 1. Ryan Bevington, 2. Marc Jones, 3. Gaston Cortes, 4. Ian Evans, 5. Dan Tuohy, 6. Mitch Eadie, 7. Jack Lam, 8. Jordan Crane (c). Replacements: 16. Max Crumpton, 17. Jack O’Connell, 18. Jamal Ford-Robinson, 19. Sam Jeffries, 20. Nick Fenton-Wells, 21. Rhodri Williams, 22. Tusi Pisi, 23. Jack Wallace.
  5. Varndell might be able to play too Sunday - so could be at full strength depending on how Gav is recovering!
  6. Sounds sensible. Taints has been rewarded with a new job for next season so if Solomon can shake things up on the training pitch then at least we're getting the most out of everyone. If we can replicate Sunday's levels and have some luck with injuries we should be looking good, if we can win at Wuss at he wknd I think there's no game for a few weeks so that could allow Varndell the recovery time he needs.
  7. They do don't they, not sure what the rules are tho.
  8. Blimey Gav is back* Bristol Rugby team to face Bath Rugby at Ashton Gate on Sunday, 26 February (1pm KO): 15. Jason Woodward; 14. David Lemi, 13. Will Hurrell, 12. Siale Piutau, 11. Tom Varndell; 10. Gavin Henson, 9. Alby Mathewson; 1. Ryan Bevington, 2. Marc Jones, 3. Anthony Perenise, 4. Dan Tuohy, 5. Ian Evans, 6. Mitch Eadie, 7. Jack Lam, 8. Jordan Crane (c). Replacements: 16. Max Crumpton, 17. Jack O’Connell, 18. Jamal Ford-Robinson, 19. Sam Jeffries, 20. Nick Fenton-Wells, 21. Rhodri Williams, 22. Tusi Pisi, 23. Jack Wallace. *for about 15 minutes
  9. Also we now have the new "training consultant" Solomon on board til the end of the season to mix things up with a fresh pair of eyes. Could possibly be the last roll of the dice but one that had to be made nonetheless. I did see over 13k tickets have been sold so probably about 16k there on the day.
  10. I'm sure they will be, but a Bris/Eng double header live in your own front room is probably an appealing option for many, esp given the relegation struggle. As @Kid in the Riot says above, this was the standout fixture for pretty much every Bris and Barf fan when they were released. Sadly it won't be the atmosphere and spectacle it could've been.
  11. Happy. Days. Enjoy!!! Bit worried about the crowd tho with it being such an early ko and on telly and immediately before the 6-Nations game!
  12. Kid is this in a box or just one of the lounges? Having been on a corporate to the Sale cup game a month or two ago it wasn't the booze sodden jolly I'd hoped for!
  13. The crowd wasn't actually that good, in what was a crucial game. I'd expected more.
  14. If you sit in Block C D or E in sestsvthat you know aren't yours, you should expect to get turfed out as it's pretty much exclusively ST holders in reserved seating. These gentlemen obviously weren't aware of that and when it was politely explained to them didn't give a flying flick either.
  15. These guys in the Dolman were certainly old enough to know better, middle aged and quite obviously looking for trouble.
  16. Oh and a special mention to the utter ***** in appx Row 30/31 in Block 30 of the Dolman, seated in the low numbers. Absolute bellends, spoiling for a fight with all and sundry in their seats and downstairs in the concourse/toilets.
  17. That was ******* awful. Varndell scoring the record breakin try and getting injured in the process was the worst thing that could've happened. We had no answers. Can only hope Wuss lose tmrw picking up zero points.
  18. Team news: Bristol Rugby team to face Harlequins at Ashton Gate on Friday, 10 February (7.45pm KO): Jason Woodward; Jack Wallace, Will Hurrell, Tusi Pisi, Tom Varndell; Billy Searle, Will Cliff; Ryan Bevington, Rob Hawkins, Gaston Cortes, Dan Tuohy, Ben Glynn, Nick Fenton-Wells, Olly Robinson (c), Mitch Eadie. Replacements: Max Crumpton, Jack O’Connell, Jamal Ford-Robinson, Mark Sorenson, Jack Lam, Alby Mathewson, Thretton Palamo, David Lemi. Very strong, surprised Alby is on the bench C'MON BRIS
  19. Think Wuss have got Saracens and Chiefs next two games, an awl.
  20. Surprised to see the Real Ale Bar on the SS/Dolman corner closed yesterday. Crowd was over 8k (decent for a pointless cup game) so would've though this Bar, in particular, would've been open. Some sloppy passing by Bris gave a decent Chiefs side some easy scores though, and poor handling near the end when we looked certain to score again ourselves made for an easy - but lengthy - run through for the last try of he game. Big game now on a Friday v. Quins. Anyone know if Woodward will be available?
  21. What are the road closures for Saturday?
  22. Read something that suggests there's mandatory "time off" from playing if you have been concussed. Luckily, as you say, a decent break from the league gives plenty of time, hopefully, to recover. Maybe even Gav will be fit by then and might even feature in one or two of these cup games!?
