  1. I'm not sure there even is a short-term answer.  We keep trying them and they always end in disaster.  One thing I would say is that - having always in the past been in favour of giving managers a chance - I really think it's time to pull the plug on Cotterill.  I actually think SOD assembled a promising squad -  albeit one that probably wasn't ready and that he struggled to motivate - but I genuinely do not understand what Cotterill is trying to do.

The signings have made no sense, Moloney seems to be being forced out of the club at random, our best centre-back is suddenly a right-back and the long-term plan seems to have been scrapped for journeymen singings and random team selections.  We need to identify a promising young manager with the ambition and confidence to rebuild the club and give him time to do it.  Cotterill is not the answer and is just undoing the few good things that SOD put into place.

He hasn't, too many on here don't understand the word mediocrity.

  2. Tranmere winning 2 0 so are Crewe, against sides we couldn't beat. Hate to say it but based on results we dreserve to go down

Most sides that have come to the gate have been poor but their players still looked more comfortable and accomplished on the ball.

Even after last seasons debacle, this is the worst set of players i've had the privilidge to watch.

  3. Jinx broken tonight, if there was one.

He was so proud of it he couldn't wait to show it on here half done, tell him time it's we saw the finished article.

Perhaps he could have 'Flint' added as the finishing touch?  ;)

I think he's suffered enough pain as it is.

But lets hope that SC at least sees that flint/el abd looks a fair central partnership.

He was stupid to change things again v coventry after they looked pretty assured in 2nd half against carlisle.

Anyway a great opportunity now on saturday to ease our worries.

  4. We are slowly drawing our way to league 2 im afraid

Once again our managers have assembled mediocre players that are not fit to wear the shirt of bristol city fc.

I cannot see where the inspiration to get us out of this mess is going to come from, we are heading to another slow death.

On the bright side , hopefully we should get another reduction in our season ticket prices next season.

  5. Overall some very baffling decisions from SC, starting with the 352 which was so disastrous against Carlisle. El-Abd CANNOT play in a 3, and it's the managers fault he was sarcastically jeered when he wad subbed off.

Bryan in the middle was a disaster, looked completely lost and barely got involved.

Yes we looked better second half but Coventry had already taken their foot off the gas. For me Barnett and Burns must start at the weekend.

That wasn't good to hear the cheering as he left the pitch. On saturday in a flat back four he looked far more assured with flint.

A pity Thomas wasn't subbed, who would have deserved sarcastic cheers for yet another aimless lazy pathetic performance.

Sorry , but the sooner i see the back of him the better.

Bryan like Reid, another of our great academy products who looks totally out of his depth and lacking any fight....for a local lad.

Barnett and burns not starting was the biggest cock up of many tonight, he should have swallowed his pride and bit the bullet with 352.
