A sense of inevitability has loomed over the club since the summer. It's no surprise people are feeling resigned. SC has been let down by the board and we now face the consequences.

Agree,SC has been badly let down by those above him...his main problem personally which has crippled us at times is the refusal to make substitutions when they could clearly change the game/have positive impact.that and the baffling blind insistence on not only starting Wilbs but keeping him on too long.was watching Wilbs in the warm-up yesterday, seemed to wince with pain a couple of times and already looked heavy legged!!!....

  2. great Dane bumps into his mate,German Shepherd in the vets waiting room...so,what brings you here, asks Shep..?..well,replies Dane,my owner was getting dressed this morning, hooking up her suspenders, when she bent over to pick her knickers off the floor I took my chance, jumped aboard and gave her a torrid seeing to......ah,I get the picture says Shep-so your here to have the plums removed??....no no,replies Dane-she's brought me in to have me nails clipped.

  4. Got to be honest, I don't share in the mass moaning but I think Cotterill is being a right Diva with this 6 on the bench b0ll0ck$. We were amateur enough as it was in our pre-season and recruitment full stop but this type of thing just makes us look like a Sunday Pub outfit. We must be the only professional football club in England that cannot fill a bench - except we can because we could stick an Under 21 on there (scrap the Academy if NONE of them are up to it, simple as that).

its mad that one of the youngsters couldn't be on the bench, very puzzling.think Cotts can be a little eccentric at times, though pleased to say not as much so as 'o dismal!!!

  5. I've never had cause to question Cotts before but this persistent nonsense of picking Agard above JET is really costing us points.

Our form over the last couple of games is abhorrent and any further performances likes these and we'll be plying our trade in the third division again next year.

Now don't get me wrong, I was a big admirer of Cotts, but for me the cracks are just starting to show. I really hope we can turn things around, but as it stands there's only one direction in which we're headed and it isn't up.

Sort it out Cotts. Play JET, or leave.

Don't panic Mr Mannering...we're going up my friend.relax.
  6. Bottom versus Top; how much of the form book and the league position do we rip up for this one? Who wants it more City or Crewe? You can really only see one winner can you not? That takes nothing away from a team desperate for points but, and here is where it sounds like bravado, Crewe are hardly City only 12 months ago.

Has to be the most nailed on 3 points of the entire season and, as much as i admire the academy of Crewe and really hope they stay up, i would like to order a hammering today please. 0-4 or 1-3 if you don't mind. I think it is time Smith and Agard got a goal or two and the usual Wilbs strike and one out of the unknown like Little maybe.

Hasta la vista desde Vigan, el norte de Luzon... about as close a place to old Havana as you are gonna get.

Will be tougher than league position suggests...they're actually playin ok of late without gettin the results..I dont see us losing but the draw wouldn't be a surprise....hope to be wrong of course.come on City!
  7. Haha Jelous of the sags? Never in my life have I laughed so much. When I was a youngster tge 1st ever game I attended was a Rovers game due to being given free tickets but it just didn't do it for me, a few weeks later and I was taken to a City game, instantly I caught the bug despite being from north of the river. I find Rovers suffer from small club syndrome and like wise your fans all suffer from small dick syndrome.

I find your club and your fanbase vile and disgusting, I can give you many reasons for this if you wish?

You keep telling yourself your stadium is in a brilliant location (keep telling yourself you got a massive dick too) but the truth is your getting a shitty concreate bowl in a location that is a 20 min walk from anywhere. I would much rather be at Ashton Gate with all the traditional pubs very nearby instead of having to walk 20 mins to a Holiday Inn. Oh and as already pointed out Parson Street is less of a walk than Abbeywood. Your Stadium will be hidden behind UWE and the MOD, best place for it imo.

I think your the jealous one because SL chose to invest in us rather than yourselves.

Do you not feel slightly bad that you stole a ground off the rugby club and will now be using that to part fund your new stadium? But saying that I doubt even the rugby club are bothard now considering they are owned by a billionaire and are about to move to the largest and only sports stadium in Bristol.

These new houses you speak of? Considering it's not a council estate they are building then these well off well educated residents are hardly gonna choose to follow one of the worst teams in the entire football league with no morals with a very poor track record for welcoming families.

I think you will see a surge in attendences to start with, all clubs do but you certainly wont do a Reading etc. It takes more than a new stadium to achieve that.

No one has yet explained how you will be debt free and making money from this yet?

I remember hearing all this noise when you was going to redevelop the Memorial Ground, everything was all set to go ahead, contracts had been signed to move to Cheltenham, season tickets even went on sale and the ground was never touched. The fat lady hasn't started singing just yet.

How confident are you that Sainsburys still want to go theough with the deal? A lot has changed in the retail word since the deal was agreed and the big supermarkets are becoming more of a rariety. You may well be aware that Sainsburys already have a store close to the site of your proposed stadium, it's what a ten min drive down Filton Ave to the prosed site of the new store? Considering the way retail is at the moment they may think it's not really necessary to build one so close to an exisiting store.

thats the salient point-the Rovers are thinking the new stadium will in a few years propel them into the top flight but its not fresh bricks and mortar that do it-its the drive, ambition and more importantly knowledge/having the correct FOOTBALL people in place to push on....

  8. Don't think anyone denies JET is talented, he also very lazy defending. Watford on Tuesday we were defending as a team of 10, he did NOTHING defensively.

I can understand why Baldock is getting stick but at the same time he HAS rescued us a point today. If he finished every chance he got he wouldn't be in a relegation scrap in League 1. Whose to say if he'd scored the first one, he wouldn't have been marked tighter / given more attention and had the rest of his chances stifled?! Who knows, the whole dynamic of the game changes.

What we do know is 1 player doesn't cost us a game. Yes he's missed chances but if he scores in the first half and we don't concede we win? It's the defense that needs to be looked at!

At least SC is aware and plans to work on his finishing in training. Let's keep our fingers crossed and remember, we've got two very capable strikers and a team creating plenty of chances.

These are the salient points-that both these players would be holding down first team positions-successfully,at a higher level..as a league one pairing they will achieve 40+ goals this season which is of course a very good return-it's the team unit that has been the problem and to a lesser extent still is.the new boss appears to be getting to grips with it so lets get behind him and the team as we dont look the soft touch anymore..
  9. so we want a winger and another striker yet we look like bringing in another defender of which we dont need..... who is he going to replace?

hes replacing Fontaine and Carey, both nearing the end of their time here..and giving flexibility as he plays full back too..and hes orrible, and orrible we can do with..

  10. I really can't see what Elliott has done wrong today to get all of the criticism on here!! Just suits some peoples agendas i suppose!

Don't think it's an agenda, just that Eliot has had his day and it's a little telling that he is in the side.its just a waste of time.the deadwood taking longer to chop out than the managers-or head coaches!..Strange tactical change to go the extra man in the middle when we were well on top.now Tamworth are looking the stronger which is not what I would expect in the last 20 mins.we are so lacking confidence even against humble opposition..
