I'm sure things will improve for them in the transfer market soon.

Remember the story where a player who previously rejected a move to us, then wanted to come here once they saw the rebuild..?

Well, just think what a draw the Mem will be once the chewing gum is out of the carpets, fabric blockades to sunlight are installed and you can run your hand along handrails without getting paint splinters in your fingers. There will be very few who can resist such progress and proof, if ever it was needed, that "they are coming for us!"

Do you think if enough of us write in, we can get them on '60min Makeover'? Not enough for DIY SOS to do in 9 days but a lick of paint, some soft furnishings, scatter cushions, carpet offcuts should do the trick....

Colin Daniel has been fined by magistrates for polluting the countryside. Waste dumped in a lane by a contractor paid by Daniel, was found to have items that were deemed dangerous to the environment. The waste, which included cardboard boxes, bin liners full of plaster, a delivery box addressed to Daniel and an old football shirt, was fly-tipped on Old Newark Road in Mansfield. Magistrates ordered Daniel to take the majority of the waste to a proper refuse site at his own expense and, imposed a fine of £850, a victim surcharge of £170 and costs totalling £521, after the council were forced to dispose of the shirt at the Sellafield nuclear recycling plant.

Seems odd to take a football shirt all the way to Sellafield to dispose of it? Although having tried to burn a Gas one at Oxford one Sat afternoon many a year ago and failed miserably because it simply wouldn't combust, i can see why the might and power of a nuclear incinerator might be called upon!

Excellent second half. Credit to LJ and the team for turning it around.

At about 2pm there were 5-6 Barnsley fans walking down North St chanting obnoxiously and unnecessarily about Bristol being a s***hole (oh the irony), trying to intimidate families going about their business. Big men. Glad their journey home will feel longer after a defeat.

Having had the misfortune of sitting in Barnsley Bus Station one Sat afternoon killing time before a game watching the (literal) human detritus coming in off the towns/villages, calling Bristol a s***hole should be taken as a compliment!

Yorkshire puddings! (as the Macc Lads would say...)
