  1. Fair play and respect to those that have made the journey today. Having driven it a couple of times in the distant past it's a chuffing long way!!

Seem to remember a game at old Roker Park, bloody freezing, City contingent all coats n hats n scarves, Mackems on open terrace in t-shirts, calling us southern lightweights! Funny singing 'where's your famous Roker roar?' over the terrace fence at them, as well as waving £5/£10 notes.....happy days!

Fancy City today for at least a point, score first then pressure all on them, especially at home. They're fragile.

    2-1 City......:city:

So I was raised in St George. Should I be a Saghead?

Used to think that my patch, Hanham, was gashead territory but think now over the years that has changed. My dad still lives in Hanham, his next door neighbour is a saghead, regularly takes delight in taking the mick over the garden fence.

Back in the late 80's in my teenage years working part time in Asda, Longwell Green (don't hold that against me, OTIB'ers!), used to frequent the Barrs Court for a Fri eve beverage, remember that being mostly gas? Certainly when the group of us who used to work n socialise together were outed as City, we got unceremoniously told to leave in a pint throwing incident - haven't been back since.

Nothing to see here, all a conspiracy by The Post...

"I swear that the Bristol Post is having a wind up. Constantly digging at Rovers. Oxford are always trouble when they come to Rovers. With their army of 15 year olds dressed as bananas gobbing off its hardly surprising that something went off. Not the first time they have tried to take the Wellington. Toddle off back to posh land and bum Swindle. "

Army of 15yr olds gobbing off?? Anyone for the Oldham minibus 'windiw headbutt' incident...anyone?!

Yeah but they would've taken thousands more to Valley Parade than us cos they're like the Leeds Utd of L1 when it comes to away support. That's really what matters at the end of the day....

In much the same way as we have a measure of currency by the Tilson, is it possible to have a similar measure of their away following by an easily recogniseable denominator?

  5. I'm just back from panic buying for the next 5yrs, off to the shed at the bottom of the garden and barricade myself in, it's on...they're coming for us after that result today, massacred the mighty Cobblers, i can't cope.....quick, run to the hills! It isn't safe anymore.....

I am lucky enough to have worked in football for the last 10 years. My journey has taken me from Portsmouth FC where I started as an intern, working in every department before settling in the marketing department in a full-time role.

During my four years at the club we experienced two relegations, two administrations and an FA Cup Final. The highlight of my time at the club was receiving the Family Club of the Year award in 2012. This achievement marked a stark change from the clubs failure to achieve the Football League’s family Excellence standard just a year earlier. Tasked with improving this area I set about changing the ethos of the club to put the fan at the heart and improve the match day experience. This resulted in an increase in season ticket holders for the 2012-13 season despite relegation to League One.

The experience gained here stood me in good stead for my future career.

At Cardiff, in the first year, my team increased matchday hospitality revenue by over 200% from the previous season as well as leading us to the 2013 Family Club of the year Award. One area that received particular praise has been our new Away Fan Strategy which was recently featured in the Independant: http://tinyurl.com/nuhym5u

In addition to this I was awarded the Star of the Future Award at the 2013 Football Hospitality Awards.

I then moved to Brighton & Hove Albion as Head of Marketing where I was responsible for our sales strategies for all club commercial channels including ticketing, commercial, retail and non-matchday events.

In 2015, I received the Rising Star Award at the Stadium Business Awards in Barcelona and in 2016 I was part of the inaugural Sports Industry Next Gen programme with honours. With the latter I am on a leadership programme in partnership with Barclays.

I am now currently Commercial Director at Bristol Rovers Football Club, responsible for all of the clubs revenue streams. So far, I've performed seemingly impossible tasks like getting fat people eating pies.

I might suggest that his only hope of winning Star of the Year or Rising Star of the Future with Tinpot Rovers FC is to buy a Virgin Galactic ticket and get fired into space....

Please note the use of white plastic patio furniture

What happens when one of plastic patio chairs gets broken or lost...? If they ever got discontinued they'd end up with a mismatched set and have to start all over again....unless they go robbing from patios in the local area? After all, they don't own anything!

    A 'full Tilson' £370,000

A figure unsurpassed since 1992 by the blue few in terms of transfer spend.

For example, if you were to buy a 10 million pound player for 300k, you might well exclaim, 'Blimey! That's not even a full Tilson'.

We should push this as a currency to replace the bitcoin!
