Benn is exciting but Christ he's just like his father,no defence but good chin

    Ooh, a boxing thread!

Benn evidently enjoys a tear up! Bit slappy with his punches at times though. He looked a class above when he actually boxed.

What, in the name of God, do you think you are contributing to this forum? Unlike your cyber hovel, reasonable posters who support rovers are welcome and have shown themselves to be quite self deprecating and all round good posters. You, on the other hand, have come on to the City forum just be post snide, one word/sentence replies (once you got over the shame of being a sag).

Do us all a favour and get yourself banned.

Great minds thinking alike, Son of Nob!

    Clearly.

Have you got nothing else to do? The majority of Gas posting on here are half sensible and make a contribution.

You are just a ******** who was too ashamed to admit who he supported (understandable) and spend your entire time spouting shite.

    Do one.

personally I believe we should have sold out, but nowt queer as folk. I think the problem is that we have averaged 6,500 most of the season so the extra are all pay on the day. I know there were a few people that were forking out for the last 4 or 5 games all in one go so they had a ticket and some couldn't afford to do all the games.

Might be poor, might be a lame excuse but that is the challenge for us and every other clubs getting the 'extra' fans to commit to Season tickets and making them regulars

Unfortunately you are in a tiny minority. The vast majority of your fans are literally obsessed with attendances and are forever telling us how shit our support is compared to their magnificent fans who are more fervent, passionate and loyal than any other fans in the world.

Sell your effing ground out for a vital promotion game then, or stfu about it!

Yeah I remember us holding off last season when we were on for promotion

Seriously what football fan does not go to games when the team you love is on for promotion. ..chatting shit I'm afraid.

But they need to save their pennies! It is TWENTY WHOLE POUNDS to stand on their little terrace!

Joking aside, new stadiums do seem to make an impact on supporter numbers and there's no real doubt in my mind that once the UWE Stadium is built their attendances will go up, certainly in the first few years. Whether they stay higher will depend on success/failure on the pitch....just like us and pretty much every other league club.

In fairness to 'Hello', he hasn't been spouting all the pie in the sky bullshit you find written by mentally challenged Rovers fans on Facebook and Slagchat. They've always slagged off our atmosphere yet many also complain about their own at the Mem as things are now with a 'hardcore' 5/6k supporters. It'll be no better in a 21/27/35k all seater stadium with an extra 10k fans who couldn't be bothered to show up during the hard times....let alone belt out Irene or anti City songs for 90 minutes.

Slagchat and Facebook will of course claim that as soon as these new fans turn up they'll be blown away in amazement by the 'quarterz' and 'Ireeen' and will instantly become 'Gas fer life', 'hate the shit', 'Gas family' blah blah blah which is cringeworthy rubbish. If they were that special as a club and fanbase compared to us they would've had higher attendances than us for decades, selling out their own ground every week...but they haven't.

Agree with much of what you've said and Hello and our other pet Gas on here aren't too ridiculous.

My point is that instead of being happy with the possibility of a 20k stadium, a fair proportion of them suddenly start talking about 30k or 35k capacities. It's just classic Gas delusion.

And I've read all the excuses about why you haven't sold out tomorrow @Hello. Whichever way you dress it up, not selling out a sub 11k hovel for this game is more than a bit embarrassing. Especially given how much the majority of your fans bang on endlessly about how well supported you are.

More more people come back?  How many have you lost?  From where I've been sitting for the past 40 years your crowds have always been at the level that they are at now.  Is there some unknown 30,000 that have been in hiding?

They've still not sold out their squalid dump for the biggest game of their season so far tomorrow and you see them chatting about 35k capacity stadiums.

    Bewildering.

Our new stadium is a pipe dream, we are rag bag Rovers, our owner is skint, our grotto won't return but we cower in the giant wake of you '82ers, the hugest massivest club, we are the Blue few.

I think that just about sums up the last 120 pages. You're ace you are.

And we are the gift that just keeps giving.

One thing, give us a bit of time and hopefully we'll catch up a little bit with your massive hugeness. Cheers.

    Good afternoon Saggy

As you're rating our forum, check out this thread, it's a cracker! Page 33 is particularly fantastic.

    Enjoy, we certainly did !

I shall bid you good day.

  9. Some of you City fans need to get real and hearing your manager as well saying it wasn't a sending off then he is a total idiot since when has head butting a players not a sending off offence.

We had to make changes as our two best players were out ok you had your player sent off and first half we didn't take advantage of the situation but second half you hardly got out your half and we hit the bar twice and 19 shots at goal look at the stats you had one shot all game from a team that you lot were supposedly going to spank us 3 or 4-0.

We are far better in possession of the ball than you are and your mistake was to try and rough our young players up from the start which must have come from your manager so he has to take some of the blame.

Get your rose tinted glasses off the best team won and really it should have been by two or three goals not just the one and it would have been an injustice if you had got something from the game.

We know we are the best footballing side in the league and with our two best players back we will be even better at your place.

We fear no one and you played a proper football team today and lost accept the defeat I said yesterday you have to lose sometime there is no way you were going to go the season without losing games as every team will lose games.

All the supposed best team we have beaten Sheff utd - Preston now you lot.

As for Aden Flint he was well out of order at the end of the game and he needs to remember who gave him his chance in league football.

Look forward to seeing you at your place and by the way just to remind you we drew last year with 10 players.

Sweet result and deep down you all know we are a good side with two better players to come back in.

    Off you **** mate

  10. Very good result today.  A committed performance that lacked composure but important points against strong opposition.  I thought Fielding should have hung onto the ball for the first goal we conceded and the main question for the second was why the hell we were playing it backwards at that point anyway?  In any case, the results so far this season have been excellent - well done to the manager and the team and long may it continue.

It was strange how we conceded so much posession and territory to them so easily in the first 10-15 minutes after half time, they were far more up for it than us at that stage, so credit to the team for coming back into it and getting the result.

Elliott was furious with himself after their goal and piled into the box for the winner!
