  1. Wow. Think Taylor has lost this.
  2. Morning all, some scrap this!
  3. He's definitely a big step up from Kelly's previous opponents but has only fought twice in the last 2 years getting a loss and a draw. Robinson is perfect for Kelly's development and resume really, he's wiley, tough and has been in with some good fighters (Shawn Porter, Breidis Prescott) but is shop worn and ring rusty. Kelly will get a good lesson without too much chance of getting beaten imo.
  4. I agree with you there, it's the best crop of up and coming HWs we've had for ages. I reckon Usyk may well get a shot against at Joshua by the middle of next year- I'm guessing Pulev gets the mandatory first. Hrgovic looks very promising, great amatuer pedigree too. You mentioned Hunter above and his style makes him a difficult night's work for anyone- Hearn said in an IFL interview the other day that the style was exactly why they didn't fancy him for MSG on Saturday. It's always the politics that screws everything up isn't it. Whyte has been ranked number 1 for getting on for 600 days with the WBC, has Matchroom behind him and still can't get a pop at Wilder, so what hope does anyone not tithing their purses to Haymon have?
  5. I admire your optimism! I can't share it unfortunately given he's only had 2/3 even semi live opponents up until now in 41 fights. The WBC and Haymon seem absolutely determined to keep a portion of the hw crown in the USA, come what may. After Kownacki I'm sure Uncle Al can line up a few more tomato cans prior to a cash out around 2022. If I was Whyte I'd be taking the WBC to court. Edit, the fight after Kownacki will obviously be the Ortiz triology haha.
  6. ******* disgusting. Just shows what a tin hearted cowardly piece of shit Wilder is. He's terrified of Whyte let alone AJ. Fighting a geriatric with a heart condition who he's already beaten rather than someone with a pulse haha. It'll be Kownacki next too, guaranteed. The WBC are just shills for a criminal racket.
  7. Christ how will they follow that clash of the titans? There appears to be around 15 people watching and Pollard's hair is an atrocity.
  8. Reminds me of the Birdman mate! edit, **** me that was shite hahaha
  9. Don't forget there's also Matchroom's stinker from Maryland overnight! Shame Usyk got injured, but Hunter and Hrgovic are on the bill, such as it is.
  10. Anyone fighting him should simply cover themselves in Clerasil, Hughie would shit himself. edit my god Norrad is rubbish haha.
  11. FIST OF FURY hahaha. The bloke he's fighting has been in with a selection of Canadian lumberjacks as far as I can make out.
  12. I'm absolutely sure Joshua wouldn't have walked into that punch with his guard down in the first place, he's a far better boxer than that. Shocking from Breazeale, he looked terrified throughout. You're not going to beat Deontay by standing in the pocket throwing nothing while you stop his shots with your chin. Fair play to Wilder though, his power is real.
  13. You have to respect BJS's genuine skills, but he is such an unlikeable fighter.
  14. Fair play Taylor, he had to dig deep there. Looking forward to the Prograis fight, but he'll need to be better than he was tonight.
  15. Baranchyk hasn't let him look good mate, he is as game as ****!
  16. Good fight this! Not going much longer surely. Taylor has never been hurt like this before, time to see how tough he is.
  17. Check this out mate Inoue v Tete would be amazing imo.
  18. You're in for a treat mate, this guy is serious.
  19. Taylor v Alexander Jacki v Vodka
  20. When we get a top quality Bristolian fighter through I guess mate. The new basketball arena at AG is being touted as a 5/6k boxing venue too I'm sure I read? Edit- great minds @TomF
  21. Evening all, fights galore tonight! You could make a good argument that Taylor is the most exciting British boxer to watch atm, and Inoue is always brilliant. Both of them are in genuinely competitive bouts tonight, although I expect each to win by KO. Joyce Ustinov might be worth watching from the sizzling boxing Mecca of Stevenage, if only to see how many punches a HW can throw without KOing his opponent; I'm not sure BJS will be haha. You can only really see Wilder winning sadly, probably around 6-8, but I reckon Breazale will give a better account of himself than he did against AJ- and even then he took his licks and kept coming back for more despite losing every round.
  22. They really will. It's just so obvious. Good of Matchroom to put on a dress rehearsal for Joshua Ruiz last night The truly shocking part is that flesh avalanche Lewandowski took Fury's next opponent to points haha.
  23. Yeah I don't begrudge Crolla the payday at all, he deserved it. Luke Campbell will give Loma a much better fight, but he's still many levels below. I feel a bit sorry for Campbell tbh, there's no way the WBC should have mandated him to fight Loma for that one. The WBC are more of a ******* racket then the mob these days haha. If only @Super was about to see Paulie in his Peaky Blinders finery tonight!
  24. Is that the ghost of Anthony Crolla i see before us?!
