  1. Anyone catch the launch of the 2nd WBSS earlier? Inoue is ******* terrifying. Whole fight: Straight to KO: Absolute beast.
  2. Really?! He was more in the fight v the 2 random Dagistanis after than the bell than the 20 minutes before it haha. Regarding today, as @Dylan said we should have been out of sight well before half time. You took your chances well enough then saw out our belated pressure. I wish Bannan played for us! Hope the injury isn't serious for your sakes, because he is some player.
  3. The difference is massive though, the first Diaz fight was incredibly competitive. Last night Khabib rag dolled him about the place whenever he fancied it. FFS JJT! Fair play @Owl Visiting.
  4. No way does McGregor want a bar of that, he was completely overwhelmed. Khabib mauled him. Haha definitely- I reckon Dutch courage got a fair few Irish lads a decent hiding last night!
  5. Fair play to Callum, he gave it a real go. I think he'll regret not jumping on Beterbiev after the KD, he was seriously wobbly. As for the UFC the fight itself was entirely predictable but the stuff after was mental. Khabib has lost $2m dollars for that little display haha. You wouldn't have fancied being a rozzer in Vegas last night! It looks like the Irish were getting served by the Russians outside the octagon too
  6. I like the way that any poster voicing dissent on there is immediately shouted down by world class **** Henbury Gas and his coterie of ****wits, who would sooner delude themselves with made up bollocks about how 'unique' and 'special' they are, when in fact they are a complete laughing stock outside of their own echo chamber. They are absolute dogshit, their ground is more of a humiliation than a home, their club is far less well run than a car boot sale and they are going down.
  7. Eddie is pissing himself, getting Canelo on DAZN for Rocky's tin WBA bauble. You can see why Canelo's dipping a toe in though, there are some seriously big fights for him at SM if he can cope with the rise in weight.
  8. Wtaf is going on here Canelo v ...Rocky Fielding
  9. I also love a boxing book @Dylan! A few of my favourites: 'Dark Trade' by Donald McRae featuring Tyson, ODLH, Holyfield, Roy Jones Jnr, James Toney, Bruno and Naz is the best book written on boxing imo. His biography of Emile Griffith 'A Man's World' is fantastic too. I love 'War Baby' by Kevin Mitchell on Benn v McClellan and 'Unforgivable Blackness' which is Geoffrey Ward's biography of Jack Johnson. 'Four Kings' by George Kimball about the shoot out between Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Leonard is great. I recently read 'The Road to Nowhere' by Tris Dixon and that's a top read; it's about semi forgotten and cult hero American boxers like Buster Douglas, Gene Fullmer and Micky Ward. Prose wise 'The Fight' by Norman Mailer is a classic too.
  10. Groves looked like a ghost before the fight, the difference between them was marked. I hope he calls it a day now, because he has been a credit to himself in his career thus far. Don't know about using the q word though mate. In the immortal words of Mike Skinner 'that ain't a deal, it's a shipment' haha.
  11. Just saw the finish. Surely something there's wrong with Groves injury wise? In fairness he looked like he might have keeled over at the weigh in. Big up Mundo, I always highly rated the lad but still wonder if a fully fit Groves may have been a bit too wiley for him. edit: full fight for fellow shit football attenders: edit 2, the initial left hook got Groves flush on the temple, his legs went out from under him.
  12. Wish I'd watched that rather than that absolute shit fest at AG.
  13. Maybe it fell out of that crackhead's hair and landed in his mouth? Edit, or the wild boar of course haha.
  14. No, I was wrong, they are- from left to right- the WBA intercontinental belt, WBO belt, IBO belt, IBF belt and WBA belt.
  15. You're right, it's a bit mysterious then. I know the WBO were making him 'super champion' if he won, maybe they gave him an extra belt for that, in addition to their 'regular' heavyweight crown?
  16. Sorry missed this earlier. No, they were all Newport boys, properly delighted with Bakinson!
  17. I don't think it'd be even a mini upset mate, It's a genuine 50/50 imo! I'm slightly favouring Mundo because of his freakish frame and strength at the weight, but there is no doubt that Groves is just as likely to dig out a result. It's going to be a great fight! If only it was being fought in the atmosphere it deserves.
  18. I'm the same mate, always tought Callum would have far too much for Groves physically, but their recent performances make me less sure. Groves is one battle hardened ginger bastard, but I wonder if his body can stay together in such an examination. Mundo by sd.
  19. Are you not taking the mighty IBO belt seriously?! I thought better of you Tom. A tenner says it's Whyte. The undercard will have to be a lot better than tonight though tbh.
  20. Don't think so, he has just booked a date at Wembley in April imo.
  21. I hear you there, but you can only judge on his history rather than Lance's. AJ is more likely to piss hot for the holy cess imo.
